AMPS 211, 11lbs. He's become a complete diva about his food. Ate the raw lamb fine yesterday, so much of it. This morning, only ate a few bites. Put out some of the freeze-dried morsels he had yesterday, wasn't super interested. So I whipped up a batch of the EZComplete with turkey and that he ate up, then went for a few of the morsels.

So I think I'm just going to have to rotate foods daily. And completely different types too, we've got multiple flavors of the freeze-dried but he treats them all the same. The texture of the EZComplete turkey is pretty different from the raw lamb, so between those two raw types and the morsels gives me 3 foods to work with, hopefully that's enough.

Don't you love it when they become like that :p?! Its great that he's open to different foods though! There are times when I actually have a buffet set out for my T! Whatever it takes for him to eat:). Sometimes he eats a little of one, then another. Yesterday I had 3 bowls with 3 different preparations out for him because his # dropped & I definitely needed him to eat! Classic.

Oh boy do I empathize here. Perry was such a food switcher after his diagnosis. Just when I thought I'd found something he loved -- and ordered an entire case of it -- he'd decide he was over it. Good luck, Justin! Sounds like you're finding a method in the madness.

I have to rotate foods with Mowgli although luckily he is open to just FF and friskies... he can get sick of some of the flavours though. It's good that you have him a little figured out ;)

I hope this feeding strategy works for you!

Yeah I did similar, he had three kinds of food out this morning. I try to avoid it though and once he picks one I remove the rest. He gets a sensitive stomach sometimes and throws up and after a couple times it will turn him off whatever food he's eating. Last thing I need is for him to be eating three different foods at once and get turned off all of them. Luckily I've found that if I just give him a few days break from one he usually will start to eat it again.

Side note, I just plopped him on the scale and he's at 11lbs 8oz. Huge jump! I'm sure a fair portion of it is poop and water but he's definitely feeling a lot more filled out today and I'm happy to see the numbers finally reflect it. Yesterday he ate a ton for breakfast, literally like 7oz of food, yet I put him on the scale a couple hours later he was only like 11lbs 3oz, up from the 10lbs 15.5oz that morning. It made no sense, I was accusing him of being a wizard since it breaks the laws of physics that 7oz of food goes into a cat and their weight only goes up by half of that. But looks like it's catching up with him today.
