Looking good Pudge! :D
:woot::woot::woot::woot::D
he hit 89 tho at +6.. think is ok? will check +7.. +8.. to gauge. :bookworm::nailbiting:

Hey! what food schedule do you follow? :cat: does he get fed a lot?.. or just certain times through out the day? am hoping once things get even more better can space meals out more, and base it off kcals again.. (what i used to do.. since this started i let him free eat since yeah.. :blackeye::( just hungry.)

89 is great! Not much lower than the 97 at +5, and you’ve hit mid cycle now so maybe he will hang in these high greens for a bit for you. :D

Food: I divide my cans into 1/8ths. He currently gets 3/8 at PS, 1/8 snack at +2, 4, 9.5ish (roughly 1.5 cans a day). He’s a big cat, but at a healthy weight for his size, so being more mathematical about food amounts was helpful for me to make sure he was getting enough without over feeding him. He could eat all day if I let him (and spent years stealing his sister’s meals too until we got her an RFID feeder) so free feeding isn’t an option. :rolleyes:

uh oh.. keeps going down tho.. not going up/maintaining.. not sure how to deal w this again.. plz help :blackeye::bookworm::woot:o_O..

Is he showing any signs of an emergency? If not, can you please remove the 911.

These are safe numbers! We want numbers in the 50-80 range on a human meter.

i thought so too!! thats ideal imo.. but it keeps falling. :/ not 50 or nothing yet.. but idk how this works. like.. trying to find dose that just maintains.. how to do this day to day?.. :blackeye::blackeye:

right!! its just it keeps falling.. is he to always have food around in this instance? just in case? i cant be around all the time is my concern.. :blackeye:

How long ago was your last test?
When was the last time you fed? What did you feed? LC? HC?
You don't want him to go up too much either right?
right, im just not sure how to navigate this haha.. hes acting fine and doing good rn just.. ok. tested at +5 saw 97, he got his usual small meal. then again at +6 was 89.. then again at +6.25 pretty much, and then was 77.. just fes him again. im just worries if im not home. :/ and how is that manageable.. idk plz lmk wut u think. :cat::cat:

Take a deep breath. This is a learning process. :bighug:

Now you know that Pudge gives you some action in the first cycle of an increase. That's good to know.

Remember we want healing greens which means 50-80. He's safe. Now what % carb did you feed and when. Keep those notes in the comments section of the SS. That will help you gather data on Pudge's carb sensitivity.

As you gather more data you'll learn when to leave out higher carb food. :bighug:

tysm…. Ok. :blackeye::blackeye::blackeye: just been doing LC.. smallish meals. nothing MC or HC yet.. guess should get a syringe with maple syrup ready?….. o_Oo_Oo_O

ahhh ok… ugh. so.. its pretty much surfing greens to get the healing going and leaving HC food if needed from time to time?.. ugh. overwhelming. i also didnt intend it but didnt plan this well… we need supplies, food. running low. :blackeye: frazzled from yesterday and just seeing him w his high numbers.. didnt realize.

It's pretty late in the cycle meaning that the insulin will start wearing off as you get closer to PMPS, so syrup will probably will not be needed. Can you get another test at +8?
Also, please remember to breathe.

thanks for being w me…. lol trying to remember too. haha.. :joyful::blackeye: phew! not familiar w managing greens from him yet right. and is exactly what been wanting.. :arghh::cat: just got nervous cause it was continuing to lower.. o_O thatll happen too right?.. to be fair.. he has nadirs sometimes from +4 through +8…… ugh.

how often to test rn? thinking every 30? or a +8 is good enough??.. since we hittin greens again.. glad im home is all. i planned that but yeah.. great to hear on syrup. :bighug:

yes sure can ~ thats what was thinking.. seeing how +7 and +8 looked but saw it kept falling when checked within the +6.. (???).. yikes? :blackeye:

Don't forget to account for meter variance. So the 89 and 77 are within meter variance.

Hold off on feeding any HC unless he's under 50.

really???? OHHH right of course but just heard that once under 100 the variance is less.. (???) :woot::cat:

how does this work then if might know??
All meters Have a variance within itself. My meter book says it can vary by 15-20% in readings.

The difference you're referring to is that's believed to be the case between human meter vs pet meter.

ohh! hm! see all this time i was thinking there that variance was more critical the lower the numbers because thats what i heard/was told ~ higher not so much.. but includes lower too u say?? :)

also +7 is 97.. :blackeye::woot::woot::woot: now i feel kinda sad haha.. but right things tapering.. lets see tho. :)

Looks like he's heading up. You're good until PMPS.
yay!! tysmm :cat::cat::cat: have to admit im happy haha.. my only thing is tonite when i sleep. :nailbiting: we seen action on the 1st cycle!.. do i need to stay up? (tho he usually wakes me.. if hungry..) and whats gonna happen when depot builds? should I be worried?…. or ideally when that happens, the greens to be all the time?.. :woot:

Ideally you'll want all greens all the time. Just ask @JL & Cooper ;) who has successfully started an OTJ trial :)

hahaha thanks Angela :)

@kitten68 remember we’ve talked before about how green won’t always feel so shocking. You’ll get more comfortable, but also, hopefully those higher PS numbers will start coming down so green becomes part of a nice gentle cycle instead of these big dramatic drops. :bighug:

was just thinking about this :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:..
thats true.. right. :arghh::woot: ugh.

Yes! How much longer til PM?
Nice to see Pudge hanging around 100 most of the afternoon!
:woot::woot::woot::woot: was just in the middle of doing it around when asked haha!! ~ is around then for today.. figure just keep the time for now next day or two since dose new.. (is usually 30-45 min earlier.. o_O)

PMPS 186/172!!

it is good right :arghh::bighug::woot:
