8/1 Honey AMPS 272, +5.75 138, PMPS 184, +2.5 116, +4 105, +5.5 116

@Marje and Gracie
I am going to get a +4 shortly here since +2.5 was lower than normal, trying to figure best test times after that. If she is above, say 90, at +4, would it make sense to check +5 or okay to wait until +6?

Thanks

Usually when you see a big drop between PMPS and +2/2.5, it’s often likely to be an active cycle. If she’s at 90, you “could” feed her a little higher low carb and try to get a bit of sleep until +6. However, you don’t have a lot of data for a situation like this and it might be worthwhile to check her at +5 and go from there.

Remember that numbers don’t drop a set amount per hour. As an example, if the BG is down 100 by +2, it could have dropped 30 the first hour and 70 the second.

Thanks. She’s at 105 and I gave her some low carb food, I’ll check around +5.

I set my alarm for +6, she may have dipped under 100, I apparently got up, shut off alarm and went back to sleep without ever waking up! Woke up at +7.5, but figured she would be on way back up at that point...
