Yesterday
Another ugly AMPS, but at least he came down. Ate only a little of his t/f/s meal, but it might have been the flavor. I offered a different one for breakfast and he went CPC after three visits to his dish.
Harvey gave me quite a scare this morning. He went upstairs before breakfast for his usual drink and petting session. When I got up there (wanting to test him), I saw there was blood on his nose!
I wiped it off and there was more. It looked like it was coming out of his nose and I freaked out (that's what happened to Cinco that lead to his final cancer diagnosis). I didn't know who to call - UCD or regular vet. I tested him, was a bit relieved at the number, and followed him downstairs to have another look. That's when I noticed the left nostril looked extra pink and just a little raw - as though it had been scraped. There was no more blood, but the underside looked like it was still bleeding just a little. I suspect he hit it on something, possible when jumping up to the countertop. I put down the phone and decided to just keep a close eye on it to make sure my suspicion is correct. I'm still shaking a little, but I'm not as scared now that I think there is a fairly benign explanation. His ophthalmologist's office returned my call first thing this morning and he has an appointment with them at 3:30, so unless he starts bleeding again, I'll just take him to that and ask Dr. C to give me his opinion on whether or not it's anything to be concerned about.
The NASCAR race yesterday was rained out (allowing me time to paint the pantry). They are underway now, so I'm checking out to watch the race and try to chill a bit. With luck we'll get back from the Oph Vet in time to head for bowling in one car, instead of Mark having to leave and me to follow.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Extra vines go to @Mandarin'sMom.

Hopefully they kick in sooner and he eats before we go (anti-jinx, but he usually doesn't get car sick).
Have you finished the elimination diet yet? Results?
