Good morning Lantus Land!!! Sending healing vines to Rocket, Sara, Zen, and Moonie. Congrats to ANGEL AND MICHELLE ...OTJ!!!!

Gracie got a dose reduction last night and we were up most of the night. She is doing wonderful this morning, though. But she is still in bed :lol: :lol: When the alarm went off, she immediately got up and started with the headbutts, purrs, and somersaulting into me. It's so hysterical how she does that. I gave her tons of scritches...this little Gracie love fest went on to the point that I was almost late for her shot. It was hard to get up and get to business with all that purring and headbutting. She ate breffis #1 and 2 in bed and got her shot in bed. Of course, after both breffises, she tried to bury her dish with the covers :lol: :lol: Who knows what kind of predator could be lurking???

I know I test her alot but all of those numbers were generated with carbs and so I have to stay on top of her BG or it falls. I was working hard to keep her above 50 hoping to minimize a bounce but she still snuck down on me at +5. Luckily, by that time, I could get her up. I have yet to find a food that will help me get her up before onset when she is dropping and I've shot a dropping number. But I have to shoot those dropping numbers because she does it to me every time she clears a bounce. I tried several of the foods you all recommended yesterday and the only thing that really brings her numbers up is karo....but then it wears off. I'm going to get some NV chicken and try that next time. It has peas...she loves peas...maybe it will help bump her up for onset when she's dropping early.

NEWBIES: please do not shoot dropping numbers. We have tons of data.

Time for me to get to work. I probably won't be able to visit condos today but Gracie and Tobey are preparing to go out on KTSS duty for all the sick kitties and then cooking for Angel's OTJ party. Gracie made a HUGE batch of a new drink she has mixed just for Angel; it is called "Angel's Kiss" and has all kinds of decadent white stuff in it :lol: :lol: :lol:

Glad to see Gracie kept you entertained all night. That girl has a sweet tooth for the karo!

:idea: :idea: :idea: You say Gracie loves peas! What about freeze dried peas as a snack when she goes low? I Googled them and came up w/ this place online, single ingredient, but it might be a lifetime supply :lol: . You could check locally at outfitters too.

Ann - I don't know how you think to look up these things. :lol: :lol: I just had to checked that link...they have a shelf life of 30 YEARS!!!

Marje, I surely hope Gracie decides she's bounced high enough!!! Good luck with your reduction. I PRAY she does well on it!!

Hi Marje, did you get any sleep last night, looking at your numbers and checks. I'm sorry none of the hc's we recommended work for Gracie. Yes, Karo is so short lived! Maybe the peas Ann recommends would help. Hope you're able to get a little rest break in there today.

What a night huh? I hope you get some rest but way to go Gracie!! Hope you have a wonderful quiet evening since she will be out partying anyway!

Whoa, there, bouncy girl!!! Do you really want to wear pink to the party tonight???

Thought of you tonight, Marjorie, when I saw Gabrielle Giffords made the house vote on the debt ceiling. Was heartwarming to see such an amazing woman uniting everyone in a moment of celebration for her amazing progress towards recovery. Brought quite the smile to my face.

Melissa: just another standard Gracie night....I'm always happy to see her in good numbers.

Michelle: no....she didn't stay yellow......she let that ugly color creep in!! Guess she got tired of it or she decided BigMac likes her better in blue.

Jill: yes, it was some cycle. Really had to work to keep her up.....and we're paying today with these pink numbers...too many carbs. No nappus today...I had to work. zzzzzzzzzzz

Christie: bouncy girl is right. I know...isn't it wonderful about Gabby?? I was so happy to see that....what an amazing woman she is.

I thought Mike would be able to get some rest tonight but Gracie wants to give him a big Gracie welcome home. We were talking earlier about how she has been in healing numbers at least some time every day for the last few weeks and we were afraid today was going to spoil it. YAY Gracie!!!

Good grief, Gracie & Zener are both on the down elevator. Hope you are able to get some sleep tonight! I've been staying up too late and not recovering from the post surgery fatigue as quickly as I would like, so I have paws crossed these kitties take the freight elevator instead of the express tonight.

It sure was great to see some good news from our state today, seeing Gabby back at work was phenomenal! How many more workdays for you, are you counting hours yet?

Michelle: Checked her at +2.5 and she was 168 so I didn't give her anything....was prepared to slow her down if she didn't do it on her own.

Anne: yes....absolutely awesome about Gabby!! One of the sad things about my retirement will be not working with her and her staff anymore. Let's see....I have 18 work days left!!

Mike will be here shortly so I'm doing the +3 and headed to bed. YAY.....solid 7 hours sleep for me!!!
