Yesterday's Condo
Back to my old habits - although this condo isn't as late as many of mine have been recently! After I dropped Sasha at UCD, I had to go into Sacramento to pick up my wedding rings from the jewelry store where they were being repaired. After 28+ years, gold wears down! It looks like a new ring. I love the way they sparkle after the jeweller cleans then. Why can't I get them to sparkle like that?
I knew I was going to be gone pretty much all day, so when I saw that +3 I told my DH to try to get another test around +5, and he did. I neglected to give him further instructions, so he didn't test again. Cinco could have gone lower, or not. I'm just happy to see green! I tested him when I got home and he was already headed back towards yellow. I hope I can get a repeat of this cycle soon, so we don't have to go back to planning a dosecrease!
Today was Sasha's last radiation session!!! The doctor and nurse both told me how much they'll miss her. I can expect to see the side effects in the next week or two - hair loss, skin irritation, etc. She's to stay on the Clavamox and Pred, and they gave me more Bupe in case she seems uncomfortable. I have to watch to see if she's scratching at her side, and possibly try to keep a shirt or something on her to prevent that, as her skin will be really fragile. I tried to find booties for cats online, but no one seems to sell them. Not sure if dog booties would work, but that might be a better solution, since she can get those t-shirts off in just a few minutes! She goes back in three weeks for a follow up, then we see the regular oncologist to discuss chemo.
I'm looking forward to sleeping in a little more in the mornings, and not driving 120+ miles a day!
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. Holding Mariko and Lucy close in our hearts. :YMHUG:
