Just when you think things are getting boring :shock:

Had a flat day, pmps was 265, shot the 2.75 again. I ran up to mow at my Mom’s then came home and thought I’d get a test in.
We get a 53 at +4!!! :o :shock: :o So we fed two teaspoons of FF Gravy Lover’s food and half hour later he’s up to 72. Not gonna feed more unless I have to but will keep checking tonight.

He didn’t dip under 40 that I know of, so I guess we hang with this dose and see what happens?

I am off to update the spreadsheet now. Crazy day, sorry I am only getting to it now.

Yes I will definitely get a test in around 10:30 (which would be an hour from when we fed and the 53).

And I will test periodically in case he drops again. He usually doesn’t drop much after the gravy food, but we’ve only been thru one set of low numbers on Lantus, so until we are more expert on that, I will test more often. On PZI he jumped up faster on gravy food, but the last time went low on Lantus he cruised for awhile.

We’ll see what kind of night we’ll have in a few minutes nailbite_smile :-D

Hey, Donna!

Well, my experience with Lantus is strictly 2nd or 3rd hand, as you know. But I think that instead of the gravy food on the 53, you could have tried a spoonful of his regular food, and that might have brought him up with the benefit of lasting a tad longer than the gravy? I think they reserve the "gravy" for a quick boost out of the 40s (although 53 is just a fat 40 to my eyes! :smile: ).
Either way, it's nice to see that Asher still has a surprise or two for ya!

I have never used his regular food to bring up his numbers since we feed only between 1 and 2% carbs everyday. (Blue Buffalo Wilderness) So the gravy food is what has worked for us. I am a bit stingy with it so he doesn’t go sky high (he’s a hoover kitty and would eat the whole can plus if I’d let him). He is also pretty carb sensitive so 1-2 fork fulls have done it in the past. I don’t just give the gravy, I give the food chunks too.

Gonna go check him again now.

We’re cruising now, +5 is 76. Hope he hangs here for a while. Gonna go get a shower and will check again before I recline.

Back down to 53 at + 5.5. Fed more. Looks like it’ll be a long night. I’ll be checking in from my tablet from bed. Alarms set @-)

I am on early in the AM, so I won't be able to watch long. But getting "eyes" on this won't be a problem. This bar is open 24/7! If it gets critical, use the 911 icon or update your header to get eyes. But you know the drill already, right?

We are back up to 79 at + 6 now. Thanks for checking on me Carl. Truly appreciate that.
I know the drill. I have my alarm set for every half hour.
Stocked up on sugar kitty supplies right next to the bed.

Wish me luck for getting a little sleep tonight!

Its funny cause Shakes got up to 3 units and I was going crazy again with no results
and all of a sudden he hit the floor!
so hopefully this is the start of something good for you 2! :mrgreen:
