Tucker had his well kitty check up last week and passed with flying colours. The vet said she had never seen a cat with such extreme pancreatitis (July last year) make such a full recovery. He's been bouncing around the 120-150 pretest range and around the 90 nadir range on 1.25 Lantus. We've had a couple of hiccups (found him eating peanut butter filled pretzels last week) where he's gone high. Today at +4 I thought he wasn't trilling as I would expect so I tested him and he had dipped low. (2.5/47).
Our vet thinks there may be a correlation between Tucker going extreme hypo last July, followed by a high carb fix, then a very low dip, followed by a carb fix, and his pancreatitis. So instead of hitting him with high carb she had me mix lower / med carb food and give him bits until he leveled up slowly today. So far, so good. He's been at 60ish for a few hours now.
I'll be doing his insulin tonight and giving him his normal dinner, and testing tonight.

Hi There,

Glad to hear the Tucker is doing so well! Your spreadsheet isn't accessible with the link you provided. With a 51 @+4 I would definitely be testing him at least every hour until his numbers come up a bit since Lantus' full effect can be anywhere from +4 - +8 (but every cat is different, so it could be wherever! lol) . Without being able to see your spreadsheet, we can't see when Tucker's nadir is at and how his numbers have been lately. I'm going to bed right away, but I thought I would let you know about your spreadsheet incase you need some help later on and people can't see the spreadsheet.

(Is it the spreadsheet from this forum? Usually a CG doesn't have to give permission to see the SS).

I hope Tucker is doing better! I like the comment about him eating peanut butter filled pretzels (!) next to the avatar where he has those big, innocent eyes.
