Why are you adding the MC? The 40 is fine if there's no insulin-- some cats just run low.
Don't give carbs now! He's doing great!

You can get foods a little higher but keep it under 10.... You don't want him coming out of remission.Definitely I'm gonna change his food. Now I measured and has 45. His body has a lack of carbo. The wet LC food that I gave him so far has less than 5% carbo.

Dinu, please listen. You can also mix the little higher carb (still under 10%) with the lower but please don't go over the 10% carb with the food. You can get foods a little higher but keep it under 10.... You don't want him coming out of remission.

Think of poor Babulica's ears. He is doing wonderful.
A very big difference is that Babulica is not drinking water (rarely drinks, and little, maybe once a day, maybe once in two days). But that's probably because the food contains a lot of water.
The normal blood sugar range for cats includes the 40's. I wouldn't add any higher carb food. He's doing fine!We don't like cats on insulin to go into the 40's because it gives no room to drop. We've even had the occasional cat register in the high 30's when off insulin.
Happy day 7.![]()
Simone did the same thing once she was on the wet food only. The odd time she would have a lick or two at the water dish but that's it. She still uses her box 3 times a day for urination.
If your worried about Bubulica not getting enough water, try mixing a little water with the wet food (great advise from another forum member). I do this the odd time with a little warm water to take the chill off the food from the fridge and so that Simone gets a little more moisture in her. Also she receives multiple small meals a day of Fancy Feast Chopped Grill Feast pate' and sometimes I mix in a little Friskies Chicken pate', or Chef's Dinner pate'.
Looking forward to Bubulica's OTJ party in another 7 days.

Looking good Babulica![]()
