Here's yesterday's post

Radar is continuing to eat although he is still preferring the a/d over his regular food. We've continued giving the Cerenia, Ondansetron and Mirtazapine cocktail every day. Yesterday he needed an extra dose of Ondansetron. Last night he acted like he didn't feel good as the time for his next "cocktail" approached suggesting that we are doing the right thing by continuing to give all that medication every day.

I will make a fresh batch of SEB today so I can see if that helps settle his tummy some more.

We decided to increase his dose by .25 because we wondered if he'd feel better overall if the sugar was more under control. I'm too worried about his eating to go all the way back up to 3.25 right now.

This morning "our" hummingbird came to check out the nest she built on our porch a few years ago. Radar heard her because the screen door was open and he jumped right up to check her out at the screen. They looked each other in the eye through the screen and seemed to agree that the other was a tolerable presence on the porch. It's really quite a sight to see them checking the other one out separated by only about 4 inches and a screen. :joyful: Then the hummer flew over to the trumpet flower bush to perch for a few minutes. I really hope she's decided to move into her nest soon. It was so fun to watch a couple of years ago.

Good luck with the new dose. I'm glad he's eating. :cat:
That's so cool about the hummingbird.

Radar refused to eat his supper tonight and we've only been able to get a little bit of food into him tonight. He doesn't feel good and has retreated under a bed.

I went to the store and got the ingredients for the Liver Shake and made a batch hoping that he'd go for it. He is not interested in that either.... :arghh: I pulled out the Orijen Cat and Kitten which he will ALWAYS eat and sure enough he ate a few pieces. I consider that a victory.

I am considering trying syringe feeding but am worried that it will make him start barfing.... :( I don't know what to do next....

We were successful in getting some a/d into Radar with a syringe. We got most of the food into the cat and only a little on us and our towels. So far there has been no barfing... I need to sleep now, but will check on him in a couple of hours.
