Yesterday's Condo

Morning everyone! ~O) My two ate a little for breffis and then waited. When I sprinkled some freeze-dried chicken on the food, they decide to return to the bowls and eat some more. They know what they like, don't they? Shadow is doing well this morning. He was waiting for me on the testing towel when I returned to give him his insulin. He is a sweetie and he definitely acts better when he is in the lower numbers. He spent a lot of time yesterday in the pinks and I am not too pleased about that. His AMPS are 1 point away from yesterday's so I am wondering if it will be a similar pattern today.
Purring preening so far today.

Nice AMPS this morning for Shadow boy! That's so sweet he waits on the testing towel. I notice Maggie eats all of her food when I sprinkle the chicken bits, too. Have a nice one!

a beautiful start to the day shadow! You are such a good boy to wait for your test .. unlike your friend mocha who runs from one end of the house to the other until she is caught from her beanparents who are hunkered down in sumo positions to grab her as she does her run by ...

Very nice amps Shadow!!! I'm so impressed that you know that those shots your mamabean gives you makes you feel better and you wait on your towel to get them! Such a good boy you are!

That freeze dried dust does wonders for a kittie's appy, doesn't it. My civvie Ali will sometimes eat her food, no problem, then there are times when she sniffs, looks at me, and if I don't go get the dust, she just walks off. When it's dusted, she has no problem eating her fill. Yep, they know, they know!

Hope you guys see lots of nice greens today! Gotta run...work is calling and I want to visit at least one more condo :-D

Ya know, they are either hungry or they are NOT hungry, right? Why does the sprinkled chicken make them eat it readily?
They are all spoiled. sometimes I wish I had never ever gotten this stuff. Really. I mean, they know I have it and they sit back until I put it on their meals. But EVERY meal? I don't know about this anymore. :lol:
And another thing:: while I was scrolling down...and down...and down on his SS just now to update it, it suddenly occurred to me that each test was at least one strip, not counting the times I needed to use two due to an error reading or just plain disbelief in the number that I saw....
SO....ALL those tests cost approx 40 cents each when I switched to the Reli-On meter and they lowered the price....
cha-ching cha-ching!! :o I could add them all up one of these days. :-| But I have the feeling I would feel terrible if I did that~~~
so I won't. An expensive hobby this, no? :lol:
The most important thing though is that we are all doing SOMETHING. We are dealing with this, knowing that we are helping our sugar kitties. What a wonderful thing it is indeed. Thank you all for this wonderful forum!!!!

How many liters of blood did those cost you? :lol: Plus add to it all the drops that Raja and Shadow have given for those strips! That's alot of blood, sweat and some tears.

I toss the vials the strips come in into a box. I counted them up a while ago. The number of containers was scary enough, I don't want to think about the cost. :shock:

I recently had to "budget" all this stuff when I left work - downright scary to see how much I needed on a yearly basis, bottom line, for Mannie. :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: there aren't enough of those smilies....

Been doing housework all day long. (ME...not Shadow! LOL)
He has been sleeping on freshly cleaned laundry.
What a day this has been! Look at those beautiufl numbers! Good boy Shadow.
(I did have a talk with him earlier...much earlier in the day. I told him that he has a very strong and wonderfully efficient liver but that it can relax now cause Mr Pancreas wants to take back his rightful duties. I whispered it into his back and I hope Mr Liver heard me.) Sure looks like he did, eh? :lol:

Ok..so everyone knows we talk to our kitties...but please don't go telling anyone that you know a crazy lady who talks to her kitty's liver also. Just keep that between us, okay? :lol:

Hi Pat, What a stitch to sit down and count the number of strips you've used in a year!!!!! Are you trying for the Guiness Book of World Records? So great that Shadow had such nice numbers today. You and the kitties have a good night and we'll see you tomorrow.

Wow, Pat, what an awesome day for Shadow! I hope this continues for you guys; fingers crossed!

Buzz waits on her testing towel, too, and I love it. It's really cute when she rolls around on her back on it, reaching out to me with her paw when I pass by. Not to mention how easy it is to test her. :lol: Each time I think back to the beginning, and how difficult, if not impossible, testing was, and how many tears I cried and swear words I let fly ( :o ), I am completely amazed that this is where we are. Amazed, and absolutely, totally grateful. To the wonderful members of this community and to Buzz herself.

Have a great start to your weekend, and be sure to get at least some sleep. ;-)
