Yesterday was stress out the bean day.... :lol: :lol: The AM cycle had the appy issue raring it's ugly hear big time. He simply did not want to eat. :YMSIGH: So out came the baby food, and about 7 cans to find one he was remotely interested in. We ended up with FF salmon, mixed with BF, and with a ton of encouragement got it down the hatch so I could give him his shot. The mini meals were met with equal enthusiasm, so most of those were baby food. At least that he ate. I could have sworn I heard him say after the last mini meal: "Does this still qualify as the CPC?". :lol: :razz: His numbers are running high, but at this point the issue is dealing with the Giardia, and the appy stuff, and once that is under control we will work on getting the BG more in line. U/S is still set for Friday. Lubs ya big guy! We will get you through this.... cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. :-D :-D As far as Mannie is concerned - all is well. It's the bean that is stressed. :shock: :lol: Mannie did have a good day yesterday, so he said!, in his own way. It is warm here, and he took advantage of that once again. I do love those excursions outside. He made sure all is as it should be, and than back indoors for some serious nanner time and napping. With an occasional bath thrown in for good measure. :lol: :lol: He even let me remove one nasty mat on his chest. WOO HOO! I didn't get mauled. :lol: :cool: :cool: Things are OK in MannieLand: yes-sir-ree! This morning we had a great test, shoot and clean plate club (the president founder and CEO can still claim his title but just barely!) - AND the auto feeder was ignored by Mannie :shock: Since the appy stuff started this is becoming an issue again. Elsa , however, still thinks it has her name on it, so yet again I am running interception.... Some things just never change. Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D How cool is that?

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be what here today. I may go on a short hike, after I see where Mannie is headed. The weather is just too nice not to be outdoors.... :-D :-D

Hey everybody!! What's up???? I was thinking.... Rusty's bean have their friends over - like Auntie Linda Bean. Maybe we should go and we can hangs out with them before they go on a paddle or sumthin'. Rusty says he is staying home so we could chillax on his porches and stuff. Thanks Melissa - things are much better in the appy department this morning. Held my breath while I waited to see if he ate - WOO HOO when he did. So I hope once we get the giardia thing under control that the appy stuff will no longer be an issue. Paws crossed. And thanks - looking forward to today.

Hi Michelle, nice blue AMPS for today, I wonder is it the meds that is affecting his appy more so now that he's taking them? A lot of kitties love the FF Salmon. Yes, agree on it's more important to let him eat what he wants just to get food in him. Glad he's enjoying his outdoor time. How long is Mannie on the meds. Sending some appy and feel better vines for Mannie. I hope he gives permission for a short excursion today for you.


Mannie, I'm going to make some chicken soups for you today even though your appy is coming back. I'll bring it along and also some catnip crackers. Visiting Rusty sounds like a plan. You sure feel okay to drive. I can help; I've only gotten one speeding tickey. :lol: See ya at curb, Mags

It's so stressful when kitty is slow or refuse food. Yes, Ive to open quite a few can to try on their appy also. Too bad Mannie is FD, usually it's the gravy type that they'll love.

256 @ +2. oh oh.... nice little jump there. Stay blue Mannie - back you go. It took a little BF to entice him to eat, but he did finish mini meal #2. Go big guy! Keep that appy up!

Hi Helen - I hope he does too. He is up at +2, but hope he can bring that back down. and so agree on these kitties and their food. I know he'd lap up the gravy too - that he does love, so it has been a challenge to get the food in him. I will be glad when this is all done and he is the normal king of the food bowl once again. :-D

Hi Angela - Thanks - I do too on the lower amps. Hopefully that is just around the corner. :-D

Morning Ann - I think so on the meds. It isn't drastic, but I do think it takes away a little from his appy. That seems to be slowly improving. and yes, for now he will get what he will eat. I aim for the LC... but the main goal right now is to get the food going so we can at least maintain the shot schedule. So far so good, and if it takes BF, that's OK. At least he is eating. He is on these meds for 10 days, 8 more to go. :? Hopefully as the parasite dies off the appy will keep improving.... paws crossed! and thanks - I do plan on a short hike today. The weather is to good not too, and it seems Mannie has given me a permission slip.

Maggie - you did??? Really?? Chicken soup for me??? :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D That is so cool! I am so happy.... you are the bestest ever Maggie! Only good thing about that +2 is, it's normal food spike for Mannie, and you know it will come down. :-D
I know we all love green, but only on days when we don't want to go out somewhere :lol: Otherwise, a nice safe blue. Oops, not speaking for you....just me. :-D
It makes me smile when I read that Mannie ate....anything. It's so worrisome when kitty won't eat...ask me how I know :roll:

Hi Barb - This is true on that +2. The +4 kinda held the line, ut I expect him to head back down once the food spike stuff eases up. paws crossed. I SO AGREE on the food stuff - new territory for me. Mannie always ate anything anytime, this is just so trying... Slowly things are improving. What a relief! and so true on the green stuff, the blue stuff and the wanting to go anywhere. I'll take blue any day, but if he gives me yellow, well so it is. :-D and YES on the smile just cuz he ate. That was so me this morning. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Hi Devon - thanks. Yesterday morning was not fun, but it gradually improved. phew! oh to fun on Nicholas feeding him - maybe huh! :razz: Thansk so muchon the U/S stuff - much appreciated!

I just got all caught up. I'm so glad you caught that huge oversight the other day. We really hope the meds clear up all the issues and Mr. Mannie stops having the inconsistent appy issues. Also, hope Elsa is in the clear!

Mannie is still our CPC role model! We know all about holding your breath to see if he will eat and about following him around and putting the bowl down. We have paws crossed as the bug gets gone, the appy will get back to steady and consistent!

247 @ PMPS. still yellow, still not too bad. And for dinner I GOT THE FUDS DANCE!!!!! Sweet! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D He ate well, no BF required, so looks like he feels good tonight. YAY! No following him around with the fuds bowl, or adding BF. PHEW!!!

Hi Reagan - oh yes on the oversight at the vets. :shock: I am too... so we hope the meds do their thing quick, and get rid of this nasty little bug. Paws crossed. Me too on Elsa. I am watching her for any of the symptoms Mannie has, and so far she's OK. Thanks too on the hike - i had a great time!

Hi Anne - :-D yep, the boy does love his fuds, makes a perfect spokescat for the CPC. AT least he did :lol: :lol: Though I expect once he's rid of this bug he will be back to devouring his dinner. And yes - I love following him around with the bowl, a spoon full or even a handful. The last one is my personal favorite. Seems he likes eating out of my hand. :shock: What a fun mess.

Hi Libby - I too am so glad that he ate better for me today. Yesterday was not good, well the morning was not good. What a relief to have him dance for his dinner tonight. YAY!! and thanks: day was really great!

Hi Ann - thnaks for checking back! He seems to have had a good day. I went hiking missed alot of it, but he was ready to go when I got home, waiting and a short but happy fuds dance. That was so nice to see! Happy dance from this bean too!

OMG Poor Mannie on the Giardia!!! Not a surprise that his numbers are up & appy down--Sedning Quick Healing vines to our Best Boy to heal up soon from that nasty bug! We wanna see Our Mannie is great health, as always!--Any infection will raise the numb ers as you know--Sending all our Love & Hugs to M & M and we hope you will feel all better soon!
