Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMPS=139 (0.5u); +2=74; +3=61; +3.5=72; +4=77; +4.5=85; +9=193
PMBG=239 (skip-not eating)

Today
AMBG=283 (skip-not eating)
PMPS=268 (0.5); +2=290

Lucy didn't eat anything last night after the vet visit, and she's not eating anything this morning.
I opened 11 different cans.
She almost looks as thought she's going to eat, she stretches her neck to sniff at it, but turns her nose up.
I tried syringe-feeding, but she spitted everything.
And she fought being syringed pretty bad, and I worry it's too stressful.
I may try again later.

At least, I got her meds in, and also gave Cypro.
I'll wait a couple of hours to see if it works, but I doubt it.
She seems alert.

This is the worst case of anorexia Lucy has ever gotten, so I am scared.
In the past, I have always been able to find something she'd eat.

I'll call the vet when they open to discuss the next course of action.

I'm sending feel better vines your way. Would you ask your vet if it is okay to give both cerenia and ondansetron right now? It has worked for many cats.

She ate!!!!!!
I think the cypro has kicked in.

So far, she ate about 1/4 of 3oz Wellness Chicken, and about 1/8 of 3oz Wellness Turkey&Salmon.
Her appetite is still weak and delicate, but really slowly with lots of breaks in between, she's eating.
Few more mouthful and she'll have eaten half of regular breakfast, and I'd be happy.

Keep eating, Lucy.

I understand your frustration as I am having the same issues at home too.

She ate a little more.
She has eaten 1/4 3oz Wellness Chicken and 1/4 3oz Wellness Turkey&Salmon.
So that 1/2 of 3oz can in total, which is half of her regular meal portion.
I'm OK with this amount for now. I don't want to push anymore, or she'll resent eating.
I'm going to work now.

Go Lucy!! Eat yur fuds for mama!

I know you've gone through so much with Lucy, but have you ever considered putting in a feeding tube? I've seen so many times when it's worked miracles to get food into them and is a lot less stressful than trying to syringe feed

Of course it's not without it's problems, but it might be worth talking to your vet about.

Glad to hear Lucy ate a bit this morning, sorry to hear about her pancreatitis, however, it sounds like the meds are helping her. Sending more healing and continued appetite vines for her and :YMHUG: for the both of you!

Thank you, everyone, so much for your vines and prayers.
I really appreciate you thinking of my girl Lucy.

Lucy is better than she was this morning. :smile:
She is eating sllllloooooowly by finger feeding this evening.
She has so far eaten 1/8 3oz can of Wellness Chicken, 1/4 3oz can of Wellness Turkey&Salmon, and nearly 20g of Rayne Turkey (!).
So she has eaten a little more than half of her regular meal portion.

She got all her PM meds, Bupe at 3pm, Cerenia injection and Cypro at 5pm and Metronidazole at 6:30pm.
And of course insulin.
I am so glad I was able to give her the shot this evening, although she didn't go too high considering no insulin for 36 hours.

Her appetite is still weak.
I can tell she's thinking about whether to eat or not almost every bite.
She's probably thinking "Is this going to make me sick?", and I don't blame her. Poor girl.
But I am so relieved she ate some this evening. I was so so worried.

Lucy does not want to eat anymore. :sad:
I'll try again a little later.

I hope she didn't feel sick after eating this evening.
I hope it didn't make her hate the few foods she was accepting.
