This is a little strange, at 9:00 BG was 214, fed him regular wet DM, then AMPS at 11:15 is 104. Looks like feeding him is bringing his BG down.. not the first morning like that. Is that common at the end of cycle?

from the curve chart in New to the Group stickie...looks like a double dip! and what a dip!!
It's very good and good to catch that test earlier.

+9 - Slight rise.
+10 - Rising.
+11 - Rising (may dip around +10 or +11).
+12 - PreShot number.

are you around for a +1?

Looks very good to me too. What great numbers.
I found very often when Max was on his way to remission that his number
at +10 would be higher then his PS number.
For example, I would test him and give him his snack at +10, then when
I would go to do his PMPS, he had dropped.
(have a look at his ss)

It means that Mr. P (pancreas) is doing the work and bringing his
numbers down as insulin would.
Great news here.

At +1, we have a little drop to 90... Should I feed him a little?

I would feed a little. You might even want to feed some medium carb. It looks like he has a bounce breaking or something.

This is great! As Randi says , when the pancreas starts to function again, we give a little snack 3 or 4 hours before preshot to stimulate natural insulin production. This causes a drop in the preshot number, and it means that his pancreas is starting to heal !! flip_cat party_cat flip_cat

I would also suggest getting a +2. You may need to follow closely to see where the numbers are heading. Lantus usually starts to work around +2 or +3 so keep checking so se know whether Frip is going to surf or drop a little.

Another little drop to 85. Feed him a little again?

Thunder storms .. both are under the bed!!! Wonder how that will affect his BG?!?

I would feed a little LC and check again at +3. Looks like Frip is surfing, but let's be sure. The insulin has probably not kicked in yet.

You are getting a lot of data.
I hope you guys are pkay with the storms passing through and you can
get under the bed to test Frip.
We lost power for about 45 minutes.

I'm posting from my phome and can't get to your SS. If the Lantus is kicking in, I'd. Expect numbers to go down. Get a +4 and let's see where numbers are going.

We had a good day... :smile: Hope numbers go back into blues and greens... gave Frip his shot at 11:15.
