Yesterday's condo

Well, I have no idea where these numbers are coming from, but I sure wish I could roll back the calender about a month.....still had an occasional yellow, but in the last couple of weeks they're coming more frequently (and only once in awhile corresponding with something that caused them, like a fast drop)

My new box of pens should be here today from Canada too! Thank goodness! I'm down to less than .5cc. Remind me next time to wait until there aren't two national holidays in the same week to order. If it weren't for the holidays, it would have been here in more like 5 days instead of 10. I has been kind of fun to get the texts as the package moved through the postal system though. Got texts every time it was scanned in or out of a post office

The knee and leg are NOT happy after their workout yesterday. I figured I wouldn't be a real happy camper today, but I'm just going to have to live with it. Got too many things to do that can't wait.

Chris, sorry to hear you're still feeling the PT from yesterday; on the other hand, the higher blue BG suggests that you are somewhat free to run errands. Hope your package arrived safely! And also, hope China's appetite and your DM have been better too!

I hope China keeps sliding down today. Those holidays can really slow the mail down. I hope you got your insulin today. I hope your knee and leg feel better as you move around today.

OK China..what's up?

I'm beginning to think she's getting into the civvies food because she's not eating enough of her own to keep her alive...and it's Friskies so it's higher (8-11%)

Don't know how to get her back to eating her own food....she just stopped eating it. I may have to figure out some way to feed the civvies somewhere she can't get to it and let her get good and hungry until she eats her own, but I hate to do that to her. Not sure I can get a small enough crumb of cypro to "stimulate" her appetite without sending her looking for a loose water buffalo to take down for dinner

The insulin arrived! In good shape too! Expiration isn't until 2016 so we should be good for awhile! 5 perfect pens for $133...Thank goodness I found that pharmacy!

Had a close call while I was out running today....while I was headed north, a truck pulling a trailer (that was too big for the truck) was headed south and I saw the trailer start to "wiggle"...soon it was fish-tailing, and taking the truck with it and both were coming right at me. There was no place for me to even get off the road since our roads are so narrow and have no shoulders here, so all I could do was slow down and try to move as far out of the way as possible. About 75 feet from me, he lost control and flipped upside down into the ditch on the other side of the road. Both men scrambled out of the truck and didn't have a scratch on them, but man was it close! If he'd flipped the other way, he would have taken me out ....for good I'm afraid.

All's well though...when I left the scene, he had a buddy there to try to turn his truck back up (might have been fun to watch that since I think it would have taken a "Pro" to right that truck in the place it was at) but needed to get home to shoot China

Oh my!!!!! That sounds like too close of a call. So glad to hear you are ok.
 
Holy Cow! How terrifying! :shock: :o :shock: How long did it take you to stop shaking? I'm so glad you were only a witness to this event and not a participant. And thank goodness no one was hurt!

Hey, China! I waited for you at the lagoon today, but you never showed. Are you getting me back for when I stood you up? I's sorry about that. I'll hang with you on the blue floor tonight, and maybe we can go back to the lagoon together tomorrow. Only not too deep. My Mamabean has to be gone most of the day. Does China like Forti Flora? It works like a charm with Cinco. It definitely is kitty krak where he's concerned. Sasha loves it, too, but Minka and Harvey won't touch it. Maybe you can mix a little of the civvvie's food in with China's, making the civvie's food the one she smells first, and that will get her eating?

Sending lots of good appy vines for China, and grateful vines that you're okay after that scare. Oh, and feel better vines for your sore muscles after PT! :YMHUG:
 
I don't have any tricks to getting China back to eating her own food (you know how much food fun I'm having these days!), but one experience I have had....if a kitty doesn't want to eat something s/he won't eat it no matter how hungry they get. I tried that years ago with my kibblehead civvies, when I was desperately trying to switch them over to canned food. I tried all of Dr Lisa's tricks and made up a few of my own, but no way no how were they eating it. They literally chose to starve rather than cave and eat it...they even began to lose weight, and that's when I gave up and went back to kibble for them.

So I just wanted to caution you on that....as we know, things can snowball so quickly if a kitty doesn't eat.

I hope your knee is feeling better today!! Yikes on the accident...I am so glad you are OK, and that the truck guys weren't hurt, either. How scary!!
