7/9: Cedric amps 237, pmps 269

Well the boys are happy I am home and things are getting back to normal. I refilled Cedric's feliway plug in and gave them lots of love last night. I am still trying to figure out why Cedric dropped into the 100s while I was away - of the 12 readings my pet sitter took (one before each shot she did), 6 of them were under 190. It might be a couple of things - it looks like she only fed them Weruva or Wellness (Lindsay doesn't like Friskies) and she also didn't stay at my house, so their dinner was the same as breakfast, about 3.5 oz. Normally, they get about 3.5 oz in the am, about 1 1/2 tablespoons twice during the day (autofeeder, but that is Cedric only, Dallas doesn't eat during the day) and then 3oz at shot time with 1 1/2 tablespoons about 3 hours later. Could that change in the meals have that kind of effect? The sheets have been updated so your thoughts would be great (either here or a pm).

If the carb count is lower it could. I know whenever I feed Sneakers the difference of a day on 7% carb and 2% carb can be as much as 50-100 points. Enough that she went from mid yellow PS's to high blue ones.

I'm wondering if it isn't a bit of variance in the dosage. Do you and your sitter use calipers or are you eyeballing the .25 part? From what I've read on the boards - it seems like just a drop difference can have an effect on BG levels - so I wonder if that's it. Whatever the reason, great numbers and having the schedule be off just a bit doesn't seem to have hurt matters.

I just eye ball it. I would think she' would be better at it than I am but they probably don't give stuff in such a minute dose - she's a vet tech at my vet's office.
She also doesn't give the shot in the same area that I do...unless she did while I was away. I will have to ask (I left a print out of the demo shown by Jock on the main page).

I finished the Friskies with dinner and will go the next 3 days with wellness and Weruva to see if that makes a difference. I have 2 kinds of the one and 4 of the other.
