7/8 Toeby AMPS 162, +2.5 50, +3 52, PMPS 104, +2 47, +2.5 54, +3 50, +3.5 65, +4 77, +5 146.

I had to go out this morning and leave my DH in charge.... checked on my way out the door - he is 50 at +2.5 hours...
Gave him some high carb food and will call in a half hour - DH will check him... it's his first time alone with him.
Oy.

Well, they did great!
He tested him four times between +3 and +5... fed him a bit of HC and then MC food with his tests.
We touched base a couple times on the phone.
I gave Toeby HC when he was just at 50; even if that's not by the books, because it's the borderline and I wasn't home.
I am very grateful.

You guys did a great job. Don't be afraid to give the h/c in the 50s if you need to stop the drop. Tell your hubby he did a great job. It is so nice to have someone to count on when you cannot be home.
 
So, Toeby went low last night, I caught him at 50 exactly this morning, and I think if I'd tested a half hour later at +3 he'd have been under 50.
He tested at only 52 at +3, even after some high carb gravy after the 50 reading at +2.5

From his preshot value tonight, I am thinking we could have another low night tonight.
I am going to cut back his shot a bit tonight to go back to the fat half unit, or 0.60 as I call it.
Right or wrong, I'd rather be safer tonight.
I know that with the depot this won't make a big difference, but it will make me feel better tonight.

He's been sub 50 on 2 occasions in the last 9 days.
I'd like to hear any input on a reduction for him.

Laura, I think you might have to "tag" some folks if you need expert help. I have noticed that the amount of people posting on the Lantus site has grown exponentially in the last two weeks. I don't know how the experts on this site can keep up with all the people posting. Just take a look at all the people that have posted today. It is mind boggling.

I knew this was going to happen... I gave him some MC at around +1, but he is still low at +2.
Gave him some HC FF with gravy at +2
Will test again in 20 minutes
 
PM +2.5 = 54, +3 = 50

So he dropped back down a wee bit at +3, although I suppose the meters have a variance...
I have been giving him HC gravy so I was hoping he'd be up higher...

Hi Laura, If you have a little honey I'd give him a dab right now to help him up. He's still a little early in his cycle.

ETA: Sorry, just saw he's at 77 now. You're clear! :bighug:
