Good Morning, Everyone,

Another rainy day. There is a flash-flood watch for the entire North Country. We are going out to buy another de-humidifier for the basement: the self-defrost on ours has broken and it is icing up. Today's paddle postponed until tomorrow, but who knows if it will even take place!! It includes 2 mile-long portages.

Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans and this morning has a better AMPS. NO FUR SHOT this morning!! I'm hoping that with a day or 2 of good shots, he'll get over the effect of the fur shots on 2 consecutive days and get back to more normal numbers. He ate all his nighttime food and was hungry for breakfast. He enjoyed his lung treat and his schmooze. He's chillaxin' in his basket.

Thinking of Kathie and Angela on the passing of Zeus and Scooter. Sending vines to Jupiter, KT, Zener, and all kitties who need some. Congrats to Jennifer and Cain, who is OTJ today.

Good Morning guys ~O) Glad you're getting some good shots in Rusty and he's eating good :-D I know what mean about the rain. We have had so much and we will flood if we get to much nailbite_smile That's what happened last year :sad: I'm ready for it to stop :roll: Hope you guys have a great day :-D

I was so happy to see you yesterday in Liz's condo! I had run across her newbie post in main forum, noticed she was local so reached out and we'd been visiting, and wanted to get her over to LL. And of course I mentioned you! I don't visit often enough but wanted to come say Hi today while I was checking on Liz
I am lurking around here still, can you believe it? Just don't post so much. But am happy to see you are still paddling and hiking and blowing and going. I am vicariously active through you!
Sorry about the postponed paddle. I love to hole up in the rain...but not so much get out in it. Hopefully you'll get your errand out of the way and can come home and stay toasty.
I need to catch up more and get to know Rusty. You know I what a Stu fan I was. BTW, what is a lung treat?

Hi Ella. Rusty is doing well after two fur shots. I'm sure he'll be back on track soon.

Sorry your paddle was postponed today. I hope you have a super light canoe if you have 2 mile portages. That's quite a hike along a creek/river bank with a canoe over head.

ok, afternoon..
I gots my fingers and paws and no flood vines for you. Enough already with the rain. I hope you at least get a rainbow out of the whole mess. I'm sorry your paddle had to be postponed and hope you get that fun scheduled soon. We did a "no rain" dance at Summerfest last night..it worked. I guess i'll do it once for you.
Nice slide today for Rusty! YAY!! Bring on those "Rusty The LagoonMeister" numbers.

Rusty is looking good today. (Our furshots seem to go in waves, too ~ I wonder if I get overly-confident sometimes, or maybe overly-tired :lol: )

Sounds like he's having a relaxing day ~ hope you are, too! :-D

Looking good! Rusty is taking no time at all to get his numbers back in line!

Sorry about the paddle, paws crossed for no flooding! That poor dehumidifier must have been working overtime w/ the weather you have been having!

I hope all is well at your house, and no flooding. It was sunny today, so maybe yours will clear up too. It started out nasty here.
Bummer about the paddle!

Hope Rusty surfed those nice blue numbers all day. :-D

Nice blue midday for Rusty. Sorry about the delayed paddle. I hope you don't see too much flooding, we had a lot here last week, it was terrible. Thank you for thinking of me and Zeus. I miss him, and don't know what to do with myself yet.

Hi again and thanks for visiting,

The day turned out to be one of those hectic, running-around type days. We did get the new dehumidifier after trying to track down the sales receipt for the old one (bought during our floods in spring 2011 and the receipt has probably been put in a safe place, so safe that I can't find it :lol: ). I think the compressor is still under warranty, but we really need the machine now, so got a new one.

Rusty decided to climb again after hitting the 137 and we are beyond where we started today. Oh well. He will get back on track. And we had a good shot tonight. He spent the afternoon sleeping and then we went outdoors and he stalked the chipmunk.

We have all our stuff ready for the paddle tomorrow. It's a 1 1/2 hour drive from here to the put-in, so we have to leave early. Rusty will have his lunch served by his Automat. Our canoes are lightweight (21 lbs.), but one of the carries is a tough one (the other is on a road through a public campground). We are looking forward to it. We have one set of wheels, so we will take turns pulling one canoe. We have a yoke for the other one. Weather report is for hot weather with showers. But it can be showers in one area and rain-free in another.

To visit some condos now.

Hi Ella! I hope that your paddle goes well tomorrow. Guess what we have in Toronto - flash flooding! Fortunately I am west of the hard hit areas so far, but they have runways flooded at the airport, widespread power outages, and people getting around the city in boats! More rain on the way tonight!

Blech! That stinky pinky needs to go, Rusty. Can you work on that? Have fun on the paddle tomorrow. 21 lbs, that's not bad, especially with two people. Hopefully your gear doesn't weigh very much.
