WCR: must of had a decent night last night for the amps but we only tested her once. She did however manage to poop on the floor again, same spot as usual. Not sure what's up with that since she did fine the night before. It is going to be another hot day here today with possibility of thunderstorms later so I imagine the girls will both be laying low today.

Pat, thanks for asking about peter. His first blood draw got pushed back due to some paperwork not being done properly and now we are waiting on the hospital lab manager to verify it will be ok to come in on Saturdays to have the blood drawn since they run short staffed. We will know on Friday.

OT: I remember that stupid mix up last week... :YMSIGH: I hope you will have smooth sailing from now on with the Saturday draws.
Is there a way he could just go to a blood drive somewhere? I guess he will need more blood drawn than usually allowed, but it might give him a good start if he did it first...but then again, I am not sure how much blood they will be taking...
It's one of those things that I try to do....donate blood whenever I am allowed...is it every 8 weeks? I just keep going throughout the year. It's something I believe in doing because blood is always needed. Besides, it helps the donor too by diluting the heavy metals in the body that would otherwise have not way to be removed. Well, wishing you well for this coming Saturday!

Nice numbers for Mocha this morning.

Are you using some enzymatic product (e.g., Nature's Miracle, Zero Odor) on the spot where Mocha pooped? It may help to remove any traces that are attracting her back to the spot. Or maybe using something like a bitter apple spray which would act as a deterrent.

well this is better then yesterday's +2. Where mocha poops is linoleum so all I have been doing is steam cleaning it with the steam cleaner machine I have. I'm not sure what else I could use there, I don't know if scent stays on linoleum? When she walks past it she does not sniff around that area like she smells anything. right now I am watching her and she is in that area, but she is just playing with the litter from her box that is on the floor.

Pat, the red cross will not take peter's blood because of the extra iron in it. We had the dr call to see if they would, because it is a shame to waste blood that people could use. Peter will have his blood drawn every week and right now the order is for one year. But they are going to check his iron level each time they draw so hopefully his levels come down and he won't have to do this for a year. After that, he will have to go in about every three months and have his levels checked and that will be for the rest of his life.

Nice numbers this morning, c'mon Mocha start surfing!

Have you tried vinegar? I had a couple of pillows that Tess had an accident on and google it. Soaked them in water w/ a cup of white vinegar and no smell !! Natures Miracle didn't do it, well, unless I used a whole gallon for one pillow.

Vinegar is good for cleaning almost everything. They recommend it for coffee makers, hummingbird feeders, etc. Mocha has great numbers this morning. Here's hoping she'll have a nice, green surf.

well she went under 50 for the second time on this dose. I fed her MC w/ HC gravy on top of it. I will re check at +5.5 but this is something I'm not quite sure what to do about. Do I continue to give her MC and HC? Do I let her surf and try to bring herself back up on her own?

I think it depends on how carb sensitive Mocha is. Usually I can bring Tess up just using LC, only occasionally do we need to use a little HC gravy on the LC. And for us MC is over 6%.

it seems like it takes mocha forever to come up. LC will not do it for her, half the time MC will not do it for her, on occasion MC and HC will do it for her ... but not always. That's why we got into the habit of using karo syrup over her MC food, which will bring her up.

Those are just great numbers for Mocha today. She has really been doing well lately (except for the LB issues). I hope her good numbers continue.
