7/8 Meadow's AMPS 402.. excitement has worn off :(

Good Morning LL,

Well, the excitement of AM and PMPS in the yellows for the past 2 days was shortlived. :o This morning she started the day off in the red....barely in the red, but red just the same. :shock: She must have dipped a bit too low overnight and is rebounding again now. :cry: Funny thing...as I was lying in bed this morning, Meadow was snuggling with me and purring up a storm. I love the mornings when she does that! :-D But her body felt very warm to me and I said to myself" I bet you have a high number this morning" and 401 flashed through my mind. I wasn't off by much! :roll: It dawned on me that every time she has a high BG, she feels very very warm..like she has a fever. Anyone notice this with their cats?
Her appetite was not that great this morning but it's almost time for breffis #2, so hopefully she will eat a bit better.
Still hot and really humid here. It rained overnight a bit this morning, which has not helped at all with the heat and humidity. But thank goodness her asthma is still behaving. She went to the window to look for her feathered friends before, but no birdies in sight with the drizzle right now, so she has taken up residence in the hallway by my office door and is dozing a bit. She always has to have me in her line of vision. :-D

When that purry motor boat gets going, you have to be happy.

It really is a tug of war, so you will see alot of back and forth, but rest assured, Meadow knows you are helping her.

I am glad to hear the asthma is behaving too.

Have a great day and don't worry.... Meadow will visit those lower numbers again soon enough and maybe even stick around there a bit longer!
 
Well Meadow...that is not such a nice number, is it? :-| BUT, it IS a low red. that's as high as you will go, right Meadow?
Ironic that right about now, a pink would be a welcomed sight.
I have noticed that Shadow feels warmer to the touch when his numbers are higher. Was never sure if that was my own imagination...wonder what the more experienced people will say....
At least her purring indicates that she is feeling loving and fine...hope you guys have a Happy Friday Eve today!
 
Hi Dottie, AMPS is almost always the highest number of the day. I wonder why, too. Anyway, Meadow will come down to lower numbers and maybe feel cooler! (That's interesting about her feeling hot when her numbers are high; I've not noticed that with Stu, but he's a black cat and absorbs heat even if he sits under a lamp!!!) have a great day and stay cool!

Kasha feels warm to me ever since she got shaved down into her lion cut - usually the fur provides insulation, but now I feel the heat of her body directly... it's strange.

I'm glad to hear other people play the "psychic-guess-the-BG" game. I always get a number in my head before I take a reading. Sometimes I'm close -other times, not so much... When I would be on the phone with my BF, I would make him guess a number and we'd see who was closest...
 
KB sometimes feels warm to me, but it's usually if I've woken him, like he gets warmer when he's curled up. At least it's easier to get a blood drop then. I recently noticed that if his fur feels cool and soft he's probably going to have a nice, blue number. He seems to like it when I do the Fur Test first.

Looks like she's been in a pattern of taking several days to clear the bounce. And maybe the flat yellow was the flat before the break. Wondering if she did dip into green, or if she bounced from low blue or a fast drop. Regardless, it looks like she's still doing some liver training.
 
At least you know her numbers can come down. I wonder too how much the weather can effect them. When it gets hot and humid, how does it effect metabolism?
 
red? no Meadow, that is not your colour.
I too have noticed that Tray feels warmer with high BG, I thought it was all in my head.
 
mochas head always feels warm to me. Peter thinks I am paranoid but I really do believe it just feels warm, all the time. I often wonder if she is fighting any kind of infection.

Meadow this is going to be a short bounce .. I can tell .. you want those lower numbers and you want them bad! You go get them!!
