We lost the progress made with appetite He didn't eat much. He'll get odansetron tonight with the fluids. I moved the tray and all the pee pads over to the water bowl and feeder so he doesn't have to move much.

I need a refill of Cerenia just in case. Hopefully I won't need to bring Leroy along for any reason

He's alert and seems ok. Mostly lies around. He hasn't given up which is good.

The vet mentioned the blood work showed anemia. He said there could be internal bleeding or it's a result of all the issues. I wonder if it's worth trying darbepoetin?

I won't get the results until next week when his secretary is back. Vet has no clue how to get the PDF file to send

Did you ask about the Darbopoetin? (I have no experience with it).

I just sent an email to the vet tech for a refill on injectable Cerenia and asked about the darbopoetin. Interestingly, the hospital's web site has an article written by one of the IM vets at the other location that says darbopetin is helpful to cats with kidney disease. If my vet has no experience with it, he can talk with that other vet.

I believe there’s some info on Tanya’s website about anemia going with CKD. I wish I knew more and could pass along info but definitely worth looking into, and interesting the IM vet has an article about the meds!
