Yuck! I don't know where that number came from. Perhaps Cobb is trying to be helpful by staying high this morning since he knows I won't be home all day.

Today's drop off went well. No tears from me. Can't say the same for my Matty. But he'll get used to everything, I'm sure. I don't want to be "that mom" but I know I'm probably going to call the daycare to check in and make sure he's okay. Logically, I know he is. Emotionally, he needs his mama!!!! I'm getting settled into my new office. It's quite a change from a newsroom.

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

Re: 6/8 Cobb AMPS 375(3.5uR)

Kitties do have a way of knowing how and when to help out!

Good luck with everything today, Suzanne!! Hopefully Matty will quickly realize how fun it is to be in daycare. Have a great first day!!

I wanted to wish you a good first day on the job, those "first days of pre-school/daycare, or kindergarten, are hard I know, at least it looks like Cobb is holding steady so no worries there.

BTW, I think you mean today is 7/8?

Day 1 is in the books. And everyone survived!! whew!

Thanks for all of your supporting and telling me everything will be okay. I got tackled when I got home, so it was nice to see he missed me! I do wish Matty had a little bit later of a bedtime so I could see him a bit longer when I get home, but I was later than normal today so we'll see how tomorrow goes.

i imagine it won't be long before Matty is running to play with his new buddies and not even looking back when you leave. that's kinda painful, but it's good for them. i was never the mom who cried when my kids started at school. I was always "WOOHOO time for me to do what i want!"

very nice of Cobb to make it easy for you to leave today. Do you have a feeder plan for when he's got a blue amps? i know you weren't happy with the preset times.

well, looks like Cobb just wanted to make sure that you didn't have to worry about him at all.

Oh, how long have you been off of work? I believe I remember you saying that Mattie was 1 year old not to long ago? I am glad that you got your first day out of the way and that at the end of the day your boy gave you loads of love!

Julie, I'm sure the time will come when I will be the same way! I know this is a good thing for him. I really want him to be social with other kids. My nephew just started kindergarten after being at home with my sister for 3.5 years, occasional play dates, but nothing consistent. He has a hard time playing and sharing, and I want Matty to be different than that. (Granted I do pretty much everything opposite of my sister these days,).

I have a new feeder arriving tomorrow from Amazon. I left him more food than normal this morning but will be able to split it up better once this feeder arrives.

Deb, I've been home with Matty since he was born, so...a year and a few weeks? My mom said it was rough when she took us to daycare after we were born, but that was way before FMLA so it was 6 or 8 weeks after we were born that she was heading back to work. Part of me wishes we had been able to send Matty earlier, but the other part treasures the one-on-one time we got!

Congratulations on your first day and Matty's first day! And Cobb did OK, too.

Have a good evening, Suzanne. This was a good start.

OK Cobb, surfing yellow to blue is also acceptable when MommaBean is away earning your cat food and insulin. Congrats on completing the first day Suzanne. It must be exciting to be back at work again too.
