Yesterday's Condo

Well, I was warned what flat yellow meant, but I really didn't think it was going to happen to Cinco! Just when I was thinking this was a failed reduction, he decides to do a swan dive into the lagoon! :o :mrgreen: DH said he wasn't surprised, because Cinco ate every bite of his first breakfast while he was still on the counter after getting his shot. He almost never does that. He hoovered his second breakfast pretty well, too, which made me happy after the past few days, but I still didn't expect him to drop so far. He's currently standing on the sofa, hollering that he wants more food, but I told him he has to wait for the 30 minute interval to be up so I can test him again. He doesn't like that answer. Don't know what was up with the yellow yesterday - maybe he had a slight tummy upset going on. Whatever it was, it appears to be gone. Pipe down, Cinco! Snack in 10 minutes! :-D

Hey, China! I got here as fast as I could. The buses weren't running from my house to the lagoon yesterday, but they's back today! Let's have some fun! - Cinco

I gave Minka a 45 minutes steam session last night. It didn't seem to help. She got up on our bed after I was almost asleep, and her breathing was so noisy it kept me awake (mostly worrying) for almost an hour. Poor baby. She didn't sound any better this morning. I switched back to Zyrtec today from Atarax, hoping it would do more. She's had four doses of AB now, so I'm hoping it will start to make a difference soon. It just breaks my heart to listen to her! :sad:

Mark stayed home today, after all! :o He said he found out no one else was going into the office, so he's working from home. I asked about tomorrow, and he's not sure. :roll:

Well, Cinco's still complaining, and it's almost time to test, so I'd better roll on over to the kitchen and get his snack and testing stuff ready.

Continuing to send prayers for poor Minka...breath easy, little one!! I hope Mark is able to help you tomorrow....that will be one less worry for you.

Seems like there are several kitties pulling similar stunts today. I think this is the 3rd condo I've seen where beans were wondering about failed reductions or increases and kitties did a dive instead!

Gotta love 'em! :lol:

Seems like there's another thing Cinco and China have in common...when they're going lower, they are HUNGRY...and make sure everyone within shouting distance knows it!

This roller coaster appetite stuff is for the birds too...one day they won't eat anything, the next day they eat anything not nailed down...make up your minds!!

Sure hope Minke is feeling better soon...I know it has to be awful to listen to her wheeze and not be able to do anything about it. Maybe you can do a nebulizer treatment? (If you have a nebulizer in the house)

Nice that Mark was able to stay home today...Sure hope he can still help out with Sasha tomorrow

I hope Cinco surfs safely the rest of the day. I'm sorry Minka's breathing isn't any better. I hope the AB kicks in soon. I hope everything goes well with Sasha's first radiation treatment tomorrow and Mark will be able to go with you.

Okay, so I guess I hauled him out of the lagoon with that 8%, but he's still letting the waves lap at his toes. Looks like he and China decided they were wet enough. So nice he has a friend he can sit on shore with! :lol: He's still hungry, but I need one more test without food before he can have a snack. He'll just have to wait another 30 minutes. He'll survive, no matter what he thinks. :roll: I forgot about the freeze dried salmon option. Maybe I'll give him a few of those now and he'll be happy.

Mark just informed me he does have to go into the office tomorrow, so we're back to my crawling out to the car! So glad I have knee pads!

+8.5 90. And he's in up to his ankles again. Fine. I'll take that. I gave him some freeze-dried salmon, so he's happy. I'll check him in an hour to make sure he didn't wade in a little deeper, but I think he's surfing just fine.

Chris, I don't have a nebulizer (in fact, I had to google it to see what it was!). Since her lungs are clear, I don't know if that would help, but I may ask the vet. If she's not showing improvement by tomorrow I'll start the second AB. I agree about the up and down appy. Makes you just want to scream!!!

Thanks for the good wishes Deb, Carla, and Amy. Minka is napping in the guest room and I just plugged the humidifier in and closed the door. Not as good as a bathroom steam treatment, but some moist air, nonetheless. Paws crossed she feels better tonight.

Don't you wish they would always respond to a dosecrease threat like that? Well, maybe not the 50's. :lol: :mrgreen: Nice cycle today for Cinco. Neko hollers for food when she's low or high. :roll:

Looks like Cinco is bouncing. I was so hopeful that his PMPS would signal another green surf, but he hit the trampoline instead of the diving board. However, he seems to be feeling really good. He was playful (for him) around +3, and very vocal. I thought sure he was low, but noooooo! I gave him a backrub and some chin scritches, and he was rubbing his head on my leg, which he rarely does. LOVE IT!!!! :-D :-D :-D
