Goooood Morning All,

Well my kitty is at his grandparents  I phoned my mom and asked if Leo could come over, they were all toooo happy for him to come back. I hung up the phone and said to Leo "would you like to go to your grandparents for a few days?" and i got a "MRRRRRROWWWWW" for an answer, then he was all excited and running around meowing, harassing me. My parents pretty much rolled out the red carpet for Leo when i drove up yesterday, my mom came out and was talking to Leo, "hi big cat, welcome home!!" basically ignoring me!! I phoned home last night and Leo was 56 at +3, i talked to my dad for a bit and we decided that he isn't ready for another dose reduction just yet, so Leo got 10% to keep him from dropping below 50. I would like to do this nice and easy, and have him hold his reductions so that's why we decided to keep him from dropping. Grandpa told me that right at 6:00 (Leo's shot time) he came in with a big fat mouse and ate him up, so my dad shot his insulin and tried feeding him supper but Leo wasn't having any of it, so he had mouse for supper

I just hate having Leo cooped up when its summer time here in my apartment, its been 90F with almost 90% humidity for the last few days and i know he'd much rather be outside at my parents acreage than here cooped up with me. So i told him i'd pick him up on Friday when its supposed to be cooler.

So now i'm lonely

Awww what a good bean you are. It would be hard to be away from them. Hope you find something fun to do and spend some time on yourself!!!

Yes i spent a few hours hanging out at the riverbank yesterday when i got home, it's much too nice for me to be cooped up too. Today i'm thinking i'll head to the lake, its just outside the city and has a nice beach........i'll work on my tan i suppose! :-D

That must be great for Leo to be able to run around and bring home a mouse for dinner! What a delicious substitute for Fancy Feast! Wonderful that your parents can take such good care of Leo and that you will get a little break from the routine of test, shoot, feed. Enjoy the beach and just hanging out.

I'll be honest, I sure wish I had some family to drop off Champers so I could have a break!! That would be the best vacation ever!!! My sister lives up in the mountains on a small ranch, but I would never let my cat up there because my sister has lost so many of her cats to predators. They have foxes and coyotes up there, even wild dogs that people have let loose because they didn't want them. She only lets her cats out when she's there, but some of these coyotes are so bold. She just had one of her cats taken this past weekend and she's so upset because that cat never strayed too far from the front door. Whatever took her had to come up into the yard to do it. Scary!! I'm glad Leo has a safe place to romp around outside. That has to be good for his physical fitness and help the neuropathy.

Hope you've had a great day!!

  i moved to Boise to help with family, so if I dropped Binks off at is grandmother's...
he'd just walk the half block back home...

yes, the truth is...the Unamommer lives up the block, and we're only 2 miles away from my sis in the nursing home.

I haven't lived near family for 20 years...the jury is still out on how it will end up

Hahaha oh Celi you crack me up   does your mother know you call her the unamommer?

And yes I really do appreciate the help from my parents, tho I wished Leo would prefer to stay with me!! I guess i need a house complete with mice for Leo to romp in.
