WOO HOO! We woke up to blue! Then, of course, we refused wet food repeatedly and ate kibble and went back up to 260, but we will take our small victory and be grateful. I'm confused about the higher ketone reading though. He was a pretty steady 249 late afternoon yesterday and had dropped to 216 at +4hrs pm. We woke up to 176...shouldn't the ketones have at least stayed at 0.3 like they were 24 hours earlier?

And of course, no answer from the vet clinic on blood test cost clarification yet. I swear they make living in a rural more difficult than it needs to be.

My brain hurts. I feel like I can't keep up. If not for all of you, I don't know what I would do. THANK YOU ALL for EVERYTHING!

I wonder how many hours he spent in blue last night. He might be bouncing now.

Other than the ketones, how is Jack feeling/acting?

As for the tests, living in a bigger city didn't make it a whole lot easier for me. I had to practically beg to get the tests done. At least now there is research showing some of those conditions are more common than before, when a lot of vets were taught acromegaly was very rare.

Jack is acting normally, maybe even a little feisty, which is good to see. Sorry you went through the same problem getting tests, such a shame for the cats, but, yes, glad the veterinary community is finally catching up to reality.
