Yesterday's Condo

It's been a while since Cinco had a flat yellow stretch like this. I'm not liking it. I hope this isn't a failed reduction. I'm starting to think those lovely greens we got at first were the result of the depot draining and now it's adjusted to the new dose. Well, we'll give it another couple of days, but I'm losing optimism. Darn! Cinco is still playing the I'm not really hungry right now game. Funny how a judicious sprinkling of Forti Flora changes that. I'm starting to think he's an addict. :o

Minka still sounds awful. I keep reminding myself that the vet said her heart and lungs sounded really good, but then I hear her wheezing. She's only had two doses of the AB so far, so I know it won't have any affect yet, but I keep waiting. I gave her some Atarax today instead of the Zyrtec. I forgot I had some left over from Sasha's last URI. I may treat her to a sauna later this afternoon, too. Poor baby.

Everyone else is hanging in there. I'm already stressing about getting Sasha to her first radiation session tomorrow. Mark has to go into the office, so it will be my first attempt to get her in the car on my own. I just have this mental picture of the neighbors standing around wondering what the heck is going on when I come crawling out the front door, pushing a cat carrier in front of me! :?

Well, I had better tear myself away from the computer and gets some stuff done around here. The house is a total pig sty.

Sending healing vines to all in need, especially Lucy and Sabrina, and hugs to their beans. Congrats to Peyton on being OTJ today, and to the others still in the midst of their trials.

Our kitties sure like to keep us guessing with their numbers. I hope you'll know soon if it's a failed reduction or not.

I hope Minka starts breathing easier soon. Sending good vetty vines for Sasha's first radiation session tomorrow. I hope you don't have a lot of trouble getting her there by yourself. Maybe one of your neighbor's will see you and ask if you need help.

Poor Minke...Hope she's feeling better tonight, or that the sauna will help. I've seen the steam treatment do some pretty great things!

I would certainly hope that if your neighbors see you having trouble getting Sasha out of the house and into the car, they'd lend a hand instead of snickering at you! Did you ever get the knee walker?

We'll all be thinking of you tomorrow when you take her for her first treatment. May it be very successful and just as important, easy on both of you.

Hey Cinco!! I came up to visit, and I could have sworn you said you'd try to meet me in a little while...I went and dipped my toes into the lagoon, sat around and waited and you didn't show up! Standing a girl up can be bad for your reputation you know! ~ China

Ok, Cinco...we all know what flat yellow can mean. If you decide to go for some action, just go a little easy on it, OK??

Sending TONS of vines for Minka, Sasha, and you, Tricia. I so wish were there so we could help you get Sasha to her appointment :YMHUG: , but we know you are a wonder bean and you'll do amazingly with it!

Try and get some rest this evening!!!

Oh Cinco, you need to start eating your fuds! You and Shasta need to stop worrying your beans. Also, 'tis time for you to come down from the yellow floor. Ok?! Sending feel better vines to Minka and Sasha...and wishing you lots of luck getting Sasha into the car and into the vet's office!

Re: 7/7 Cinco PMPS 237

Tons of vines for Sasha tomorrow and Minka right now! Big hugs for you, Tricia, it's a lot.

Re: 7/7 Cinco PMPS 237

Thanks for the visits, Carla, Chris, Amy, and Deborah.

Well at least the PMPS was lower than the AMPS. If Cinco is going to join China, I hope he waits till we get home from bowling. He did eat his first dinner without hesitating, so we'll see how he does with the meal he'll get when we get home.

Yes, Chris, I did get the knee scooter. It's heavier than I thought, so it will be interesting getting it in and out of the car. I don't think I"ll try to use it in the house, as we have a lot of stuff around and I'll be knocking things over left and right, but it will be good for going to the vet, etc. I feel more stable on it than on crutches. I brought it to the bowling alley tonight to try it out, and everyone got a kick out of me zooming around on it! That baby can move! Wheelchair ramps, going down, are kind of scarey.

Thank you all for the good vines for Sasha's radiation. Unfortunately, they will have to keep an extra day. UCD called and said there was a scheduling conflict and postponed her first session until Wednesday. The good thing is that Mark might be working from home that day, so the neighborhood may not be treated to the spectacle of my crawling to the car after all. At least not yet.

I called Dawn, the RVT that Sasha's oncologist recommended for boarding. She sounds too good to be true. She will be delighted to have Sasha while we go to LA for a long weekend later this month, and will take her to the radiation session on the Monday, too. I asked about diabetic cats, and she said the reason she started her little business was because of diabetic animals. When she was working at UCDVH, she saw so many people with diabetic cats that had no one to care for them if they wanted or had to travel. So she decided to do it. She sounded very knowledgeable about FD and assured me she would follow my set schedule for Cinco. So if we have to board him when we go to LA (waiting to hear if my regular cat sitter is available), we'll take him to her. I'm so excited about her!!! If my sitter can't come that weekend, we'll probably take Minka with us, as she is a reasonbly good traveler and well behaved at the in-laws', and leave Harvey at home with Otto and bowls of dry food. It would just be from Friday night to Monday afternoon, so he'd be fine.

I didn't get the chance to give Minka a sauna treatment. I will do so tonight if she still sounds bad. I'm hoping the AB will kick in tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great night.

I'm glad Mark is able to help with Sasha's first radiation treatment....even though it pushes things back a day, you must be relieved!

Dawn sounds amazing...sending tons and tons and tons of prayers that she is REAL! I so hope she works out for you...you've had so much trouble with boarding Cinco and it would be wonderful if you could travel and not have to worry that he's getting the proper care!

I hope Minka is feeling better this morning....
