Yesterday's slip sliding summer day

A couple of lazy drama-free summer days in a row in Zener's domain {{{anti-jinx}}}! Zener had a nice yard patrol this morning, happy appy, and naps galore.

MamaLizBean had a nice long bike ride this morning and she and Zener are having a perfect Sunday afternoon nap together. Tillie has been on composter watch intermittently today, in between claps of thunder. No new gifts lately, and the beans are not complaining about that.

We are having rain all around us, our first day of real rain was on the Friday the 4th and we got 1.8" in one day. We aren't complaining! But we do feel badly that the burn area in Oak Creek Canyon just south of us is under flash flood warnings and all sorts of post-fire problems in Oak Creek Canyon. We always relax when the wild fire fighting is over and forget about the flooding that follows.

Wishing all a calm and dramafree Sunday. :YMHUG:

Nice report (anti-jinx)...

I hope the rain starts coming at a SLOW steady pace for you!

Have a great evening, guys!

Drama-free days are nice. I hope the rain doesn't cause flooding in the burn areas.

:-D :-D :-D  Love the flat cycle today.

Good luck with the rain. We always worry about thunder and the lightning causing fires too.

Great blue surf today, Z Man! You look very handsome in blue.
Tillie, maybe you got all the mice. You may have to wait for the next generation.

Great that you got out for a long ride, Liz. Did you see any of the Tour? Today was really exciting.

So Anne, what did you do today?

Have a fine evening and we hope that the rainfall will be good, but gentle.

Well well, Zener is singing the blues this evening, sweet!

Haha Ella, what did I do today? Hmmm.... some morning kitty care while Liz got in a bike ride and mostly a very low key day with a little yard work and garage organizing, then bean stretching class (aka yoga). Being retired is suiting me very well. ;-)

Kitties and beans watched today's recorded stage of the Tour this evening. A colleague of mine lives in Sheffield, where this stage ended. She lives about a mile from where the Tour came by on its way into town. She, her drooler Millie, and a friend had a lovely blanket staked out and watched the blur go by, very exciting!

Thanks for visiting today!

Anne

Nice blue surf tonight, Zener. Allows the night duty bean to get some ZZZs I-)

So do you get the summer monsoons in Flagstaff? Growing up in Tucson, I'm very familiar with them, but I didn't know they extended that far north. 1.8" is pretty standard for a monsoon, but to a non-Arizonan, must sound like a lot.

Glad to hear Zener is feeling better and into his normal routine.
