Have been having a heck of a time getting blood from Lulu's ears, taking up to 3 pokes before I finally get something useable. She's not a happy kitty at the time, but forgive so quickly, purring and head butts shortly thereafter. Sweet girl :cat:

My vet is on mat leave, but her colleague called me today about civie Otis's b/w. Liver enzymes showing a possible problem. I am going down there tomorrow to get a copy. I asked the vet what this could mean and he said it could be a sign of cirrhosis, but highly unlikely because the numbers are just slightly low on ALT and a bit high on GGT. I'm having him retested in 30 days. How the he** does a cat get cirrhosis, he doesn't drink anything other than water and there's nothing toxic he could have gotten into? After I got off the phone, I cried like a baby, I love my Otis so much. He is energetic, eats well, so very affectionate, does not show any sign of not feeling well. He has lost weight since I adopted him a year ago, but I attribute that to his change from a dry diet to 100% wet, plus he is so energetic. Thanks for reading, I just needed to vent. I will try not to presume the worst :(

Prayers and vines to those in need.

Lori..I am so sorry you are having to deal with more problems, now with your Otis. I don't know much about liver problems in kitties, but I will send lots of healing vines and positive energy for Otis and lots of :bighug: :bighug: for you. Venting is good, but we will all hope for a positive outcome!

Please post all the labs when you get them. If the liver values are only slightly elevated it might not be anything at all, especially since he is acting fine. :bighug:
