Hello all. I got back from my vacation yesterday. We had a nice time visiting with the family. My kids went fishing, kayaking, canoeing, boating, swimming, etc. with their cousins. I tried kayaking for the first time on a peaceful day on Lake Champlain.
I want to thank all that helped me before my trip. I was nervous about leaving a diabetic cat for 6 days without testing. Thank you Chris and Wendy for answering my frantic condo the morning of the trip. I really appreciate your support. I am happy to be home now.

Welcome home Catherine - I'm glad you got away and had a good time. It looks like Lovey did fine on your parents care, even if running a bit high but safe. :-D

I enjoy kayaking too, very peaceful. After all this time looking after a diabetic cat it's good to refresh your batteries.

Welcome back Catherine! So nice that you enjoyed your vacation and that your parents helped out with Lovey! Its good that you could relax and be with family too. Im sure Lovey will get back on track soon for you. Have a nice evening.

Welcome home, Catherine!

It's so nice that you were able to get away and recharge your batteries! Looks like your parents did a great job and that Lovey stayed nice and safe while you were gone.

Now that you're home, hopefully she'll come back down quickly for you! You might want to forget doing "skinny" and "fat" doses for awhile though and just stick with .25 increases or decreases. We don't usually start trying to "dial it in" that close until we're pretty darn sure that one dose is too much and the next dose down is too little. (like 1 unit drops below 50, but .75 still has a nadir that's a little too high...then we might suggest doing a fat .75 or skinny 1 unit)

Sounds like you all had a wonderful time!

Welcome back, Catherine.

I'm so glad you were able to get away and enjoy yourself. Caring for an FD kitty is so time-consuming and stressful. We all need to get away now and then. You are so fortunate that your parents were willing and able to watch over Lovey for you. It looks like she did just fine and I'm sure you'll soon have her back into her routine and making progress again.

Sending lots of good vines to you both.
