Yesterday at Tricia's House of Chaos
Just another normal day around here - barfing and poo on the carpet and six cans of cat food opened. Ho hum..
Cinco had another loose poo this morning and dragged his butt across the carpet again.
I skipped the fish oil altogether and just gave him squash in his breakfast. A tail cleaning was also called for, and not appreciated. He is perilously close to needing a complete bum bath.
Flat blue today, which was fine. Still adjusting to the new dose, I hope. Otto is loaded and ready while we're gone, just in case he gets any crazy ideas.
Last evening I found a pile of vomit in the living room and assumed it was Harvey. This morning I changed my mind. Minka didn't want any of the cat food I offered, so I spoon fed her 10 cc of the liver shake. Five minutes later she threw it up, along with everything else in her tummy. It looked exactly like the vomit I found yesterday. Obviously, my joy at her eating the shake was premature. I'm thinking it's too rich for her. I poured the rest down the disposal. I feel horrible that I spoon fed her something that made her ill.
I gave her a shot of Ondansetron and half an hour later she was eating baby food, a spoonful at a time. I only got one jar into her, but I'll try for a second one when we get home. She did look a little less uncomfortable today, despite the barf.
Sasha and Harvey both got off to slow starts, but both ate their breakfasts eventually. I gave Harvey some Ondansetron first thing, and I think it really helped him. An hour later he was polishing off his breakfast and asking for more. He seems to feel better today, too. I heard back from his IM and she said I could hold off on the fluids unless he had a bad day. Works for me. I'm not looking forward to giving him squids!!!
I just came back from the snack bar, where they are making my garlic pretzel bites. They tried to tease me by saying they were out. I knew they were lying, because they didn't look scared!
@Linda and Scooter & Jack , Minka will drink the liquid from the FF broths. Sometimes. Sometimes she will also eat the food in them. Sometimes she wants nothing to do with them.
@rhiannon and shadow, the box came today. THANK YOU! We have an appt with Harvey's IM on Friday, so I am going to wait and take the cans of Mauri to show her and see what she thinks about trying them.
