Yesterday: I considered yesterday a bounce off the green the day before. Rosy started in blue, slowly moved to yellow. A purple at PMPS & ended with a slightly yellow at PM+8.

Today: Sudden rain & thunder in the early morning. The temp is still high. Most of my cats are not very scared of the thunder. ohmygod_smile All is well in Tortieland.
Maybe I need two alarm clock? Because my phone alarm did not ring this morning (my mistake, to turned off the phone), I suddenly woke up & almost missed the shooting time! nailbite_smile
Healing vines to Mikey, hope he gets better soon.

AMPS 353 gave canned breakfast & 1u

Good Morning Helen. (I think it's 10am there, now).
I know how we hate those yucky pink numbers, but have patience, Rosy will be down before you know it.
Sorry the rain isn't bringing down the temps. Sometimes it just makes it more muggy.

Helen, this is all your fault, that I have to stay up a while longer. You wished a surf on Checkers, and you know they read these condos. :lol: :lol:

Nice greens for Rosy today! It is nice that your kitties don't mind thunder. Tarragon is a scaredy cat when it comes to storms. Have a great night!!

I could so relate on the no alarm and almost missing shooting time. had a few of them myself. :shock: Glad it all worked out. Nice too that your kitties are not afraid of storms. Well done guys!

You've got a crystal ball Sienna?! You're so right! I thought Rosy decided to have late nadir since the new schedule so decided to do a +3 instead! :o

PM+3 47 gave a tsp of HC gravy + steamed chicken.

hi helen! i've been thinking about the "steamed chicken raises BG" that you've had happen and a couple of other people have had happen with their cats too. i'm wondering if the chicken has additives that are doing it. chicken on its own shouldn't have hardly any carbs - but you know the processors add things to make the chicken more tender and appealing to people. i know our thanksgiving turkeys are shot full of solutions that include sugars.

i wonder if you tried organic chicken for her if that would make a difference? anyway, just a thought.

you've had a very busy night! i hope you get some sleep at some point! but what a great run of numbers for her.

Helen, do you feed Rosy plain chicken and it raises her bg? If Julie hadn't said that, I never would have given it a thought.
Boiled/steamed chicken is one of Checks favorite low/non....carb treats.
I'll have to take notice now.

Thanks for your visit Julie. Orgnaic chicken is not that easily available here. Yes, we know that the farm added growth hormne to the chicken so that they canbe "harvested" for the market in shorter time.

PM+8 58 I think Rosy's nadir should be over by now. I'll go without any HC or LC to see how she goes from here...

I think all food LC, HC will raise bg because it will be converted into sugar inside the body. (pls correct me if I am wrong)
I dont consider the steamed chicken I fed raised Rosy's bg as much as gravy. I fed her tsp of gravy +LC canned food, then steamed chicken when her bg was at 47. It raised to 65 in an hour. And the steamed chicken I gave her is really miserably little :oops: Rosy is a gobbler, I cannot give her as much as she can eat because she will throw up afterwards!

Thanks Ann for that beautiful green lagoon pic! I am sure both girls are enjoying there!

PM +9 56. I did not give food at +8 58. Still think Rosy's bg is about to raise towards the end of cycle. So sleepy...
Gave her a piece of her fave salmon treat because she's so sweet to sleep on the dinning table for all those tests.
 
Come up Rosy. You've made your point about this dose and your momma is sleepy. Surf some more, but in higher numbers now. Great job Helen!

Wow, all these kitties at the lagoon today/tonight. It figures Daphne decided to miss the party because of the storms.

You're doing great Helen! Come up a bit for your mom bean Rosy, I think its her nighttime now and I'm sure she is sleepy.
