7/5 Zeus PMPS 353 should I try the Bupe?

Morning all,

I am a lucky bean, the thunder storms didn't bother the kitties last night, and neither did the fireworks up the street in between the rain drops. There was one kind of loud one that made me jump though, :lol: Our city had to postpone the fireworks display due to all of the flooding that we had, so it was a mostly quiet night. In addition to the 4 cans of food that Zeus ate yesterday, I put out 1/2 can of FF chunky chicken before bed (he ate about 1/2 of I overnight) and when I got up for a +6, I gave him a chix FF appy, he ate most of that too. :-D He had also gone poo again last night, so none this morning.

It was nice to have yesterday off, but back to TBP for me today. My boss took the day off though :-D so I will be able to get a ton of stuff done without her ;-) I just have to share one thing about her.... She sent an email to the President of the Bank on Wednesday, and CC'd me, and in that email she took credit for something that I had done. That is the kind of person that she is, everything is always about her. I truly dislike working for her.

Anyway, to everyone in the US, I hope you all had a Happy and safe 4th. For those of you that were lucky enough to have today off as well... Enjoy :smile: I hope that everyone else has a great day as well. Hugs, thoughts and prayers to all that need them today.

Boy, Zeus is really eating :) Makes you feel good, don't it?

I have to go to work and my boss is off today, too, so I plan to catch up on all my work today, too.

Nice AMPS to start Zeus' day...I can not access the more smilies to put the cat petting smilie up..

Thanks Dyana... Sure does make me feel good to see Zeus eat. He ate about 3/4 can of Friskies this morning too :-D

I wish J.D. would eat that much. I don't think he's ever eaten 4 cans of FF in a day, unless it was a low BG day.

So glad Zeus is still back on track with his appy - and a nice number to start the day! Hope you get alot accomplished at work. At least your boss won't be there :-D

So does the TBP mean the The Bank Place? I thought it meant the The Bad Place :-D

My kitties did well with the firesworks too. I guess the thunderstorms have conditioned them for the noise. Awful about your boss. Unfortunately, it seems there are a lot of bosses like that! Have a good day.

I'm not fond of bosses like that. Unfortunately, jobs are a bit had to come by, even part time jobs. Zeus isn't looking bad at all. I hope that he gives you better #s very soon. Have a great day!

I too have had a boss or two like that. not fun. Enjoy your day at TBP, alwyas nice to work when the boss is gone. Things seem to get done then. ;-)

Nice that the kitties did well last night. It was rather loud and crazy here, but they seemed to handle it well. I'm glad yours did too.

What a wonderful report on Zeus. I hope he keeps eating and doing so well.

I hate bosses like that, but what can you do if you want to keep your job. Enjoy your day without your boss.

When I first joined the board, I thought tbp meant the bean place because it's where the beans go. :lol:

Hi Everyone, thanks for visiting today. Zeus seems off tonight. He did eat almost a whole can of friskies chicken and egg something. I tried a FF appetizer - tuna I think, and a FF Medley of chicken florentine, but he wouldn't touch either one. A while later he had about a half can of FF morning medley chicken something. But he's been laying in weird places, mostly on the hard floor. He is walking a bit stiff like, he looks off, and when he jumped onto the couch it just wasn't a smooth jump. I do have some bupe, I wonder if I should give it to him. I've only given him Bupe once, He got really spacey and then he did the smacking his lips and swallowing really hard. Kind of scared me. Any thoughts?

Hi Kathie,
I hope that Zeus can regain that happy appy this evening. Is it very hot and humid where you are in NH? That could certainly be affecting his appetite, and could also be the reason he is lying on the wood floor (it's cooler on hard-surfaces). And he may be walking more stiffly because he's not used to sleeping on the hard floor.
Rusty likes to lie on his back in front of the fan with the breeze blowing over his tummy.
I assume you are having weather similar to ours and I, for one, am ready for this heat and humidity to move on out!

Have a good weekend. Bummer on your boss. Some people have no sense of what's right.

I can't answer your question on Bupe. I have always been too scared to give it. If it spaces Zeus out, I would avoid it, especially in this weather.

Hi Ella,

It has been crazy weather here too, really hot and humid (and yes, I'm ready for it to blow out of here). Thunderstorms last night, we had a little rain tonight, but it's still almost 80 and the same in here too even with the AC cranking since I got home from work. I left the ceiling fans on for the kitties but they were both lounging in the hottest rooms instead. Silly kitties.

I know, I am kind of afraid to try the Bupe again, but I don't want Zeus to be in pain. Hopefully it is just because he's been on the floor more than usual.

Thanks Kat. You're probably right, I bet he was nauseaus when I gave him the bupe last time. It was before the ondanestron and the cypro, and before he was eating.
 
I'd be hesitant with the bupe unless it's very clear that Zeus is in pain. I am wondering if the Leukeran is causing him to feel a little punk.

Is the vet planning on getting blood tests after 2 weeks on the Leukeran? (It can effect red and white cell counts so you need to get blood test to make sure this isn't happening.)
 
thanks Sienne, I think the vet wanted to wait 3 weeks, he said it would take that long to start working. It's been 2 weeks now... I'll call tomorrow to see if they still want to wait or if we can do it sooner.
