OK, after a brief excursion to 1.75U, on the second cycle back at 1.5U, Frodo got a 47 at am+4. (First cycle overnight did not give a sub-50) This has got to depend at least some on how much he eats, and he may have eaten a little less this morning. I fed a small amount of regular (no hi-carb) after the 47, and he went back up to 53. But the question is: do I do a reduction on tonight's dosage or wait and see if another cycle gets an under-50 number?
[Sunday mornings can be a little off in timing - we usually have to leave the house 15-20 minutes before his regular shot time. Did a test an hour before regular time and it was high enough that he wasn't going to drop low, at least quickly. So he surprised us by dropping to sub-50 by the time we finished up other things and tested him again.]

I would keep monitoring Frodo, to make sure he is staying above 50 today. In future, even if you get a +11, it's good practice to get that preshot test. Even though he wasn't going to drop too low, I still look at patterns of numbers based on the preshot value.

Since you've been bouncing around on dose and he had a 1.75U yesterday and a couple days before that, it is still possible that is influencing this cycle. Higher doses can influence 4-6 cycles out. If you can monitor Frodo closely tonight and tomorrow, I'd still to 1.5U to see if that's really the dose that is getting him low. If you can't monitor, I'd lower to 1.25U.

82 at am+10. He's likely to go low with that reading, unless it comes up at least some by shot time. We'll check it preshot and decide. Yes, I should have checked him again after the am+5, but I went out to garden and lost track of the time. He'd eaten and it was actually am+5 hr and 20 minutes, so I didn't think it likely that he would go lower.

Sending surf green vines to mr Frodo!

Looking at the progress on his spreadsheet since the top of the page . . . it's really amazing. He's doing great.

You gotta find the balance to still have a life with a diabetic cat. Frodo was fine and I'm sure you needed the time in your garden. :D
