The power is FINALLY back on. We were out from 7:00 last night until 10:30 this morning....a bit too much of a flashback to Hurricane Sandy. At least it wasn't freezing cold this time, and it wasn't out for 5 days. The storm we had last night was really scary...I like a good thunderstorm, but the wind gusts were really, really frightening, even to me. We had some pretty major branches come down, but fortunately no property damage. A neighbor's car was parked in front of our house and a branch just barely missed it.
Trix's appy has been "meh" since last night. I'm not sure if she was feeling the storm and power outage stress or if it was just one of those "one step back" parts of our "two steps up, one step back" pattern that we seem to follow. She's eaten OK, but is not in glutton mode. She was incredibly feisty over her gelcap this morning. I tell ya, it was almost easier shooting insulin without power than it was trying to get that into her  !
I did skip her follow up pokey this morning, since she was so close to being within range and we were all out of sorts anyway.
She's not talking about the party....but all the kitties are totally passed out. I suspect a wild and wonderful time was had by all!
This bean needs some breffis...BBL for more catching up! Thank again, LL....you are our family, and without you, we wouldn't have had the incredible OTJ celebration that we were blessed with yesterday.
Have a great day, LL!
