Happy 4th of July~ (we are celebrating with a little rain this morning)

Shadow did okay with his breffis. Needed double doses of Pure Bites freeze-dried chicken. He is starting his day with a mid yellow after his rainbow night of red~pink~pink~yellow. Deposit in the LB and grooming and well, that about gets us ready for our day around here! Guess that is about all I can say at the moment! Hope you all have a great Sunday! :YMHUG:

A rainy 4th?? that should be our weather - as it usually is what we get on this holiday... they say sun here today - i will believe it when i see it!

Nice start for Shadow today, hope he can find the blues and greens again, maybe today.

Does Shadow get scared of the fireworks, like the thunder? Usually fireworks are going just as Im starting to get latte eating something. :roll: Ya, thats right...then she walks away. :YMSIGH: She doesnt seem to get scared in her old age. But the other day she woke from a dead sleep when my neighbors let one off - ears all perked up, eyes big - wha? Wha? WHA was that ma??????? :shock: Then she laid her head back down and... I-) :lol:

I hope you are able to get out for a picnic (indoor, maybe?), and see some fireworks somewhere.

Going down!!! Looks like he found the right button. I think we are going to have some "fireworks" here soon. Another warm day (but not as hot as yesterday) lots of stormclouds and that typical wind signaling a T-storm :-D No rain yet, but moist hot air. I love T-storms I just get nervous about my car (I don't have a garage anymore) and I've had 2 cars with serious hail damage in the last 5 years. Hope you have a good 4th of July (not a holiday here). :mrgreen:

Shadow came into visit me. He looked up and squeaked. I asked him what he wanted..did he want to eat? Show me said I. He trotted down the hallway and into the dining room....up on the chair, up on the testing towel and laid down. Now THAT is amazing! :lol: Looks as if he used that 1.0u this morning. He got some freeze dried whitefish on top of his half eaten breffis.
Carolyn...he doesn't like the fireworks...we are having quiet rain today, no thunder, no firecrackers so it is quiet in the neighborhood right now. The box in the closet is all ready for him though. :lol: The city has a fireworks display which usually lasts about a half an hour. They are set off from the ball field on the one side of our canal so we sit on our dock and have ringside seats for the beautiful display. I hope they will be okay during all the noise. They aren't crazy about it but there isn't much we can do to protect them. Will be home all day with them anyway.....
Monique....I love the thunder storms too...Florida has some amazing ones in the summertime. I just don't like what they do to my Shadow. petrified! How is Paula the mole? have you set her free yet? What if she has babies somewhere Monique? They are missing her. I bet if you set her free, she will always come back to visit you.....

Wonder how CD is doing....hi CD...hope you are having a nice time!!

We set Paula free yesterday evening in the backyard near the strawberries (so she can keep the slugs away) I assume she lived back there somewhere since moles are territorial and don't leave thier area much. I have no idea how she ended up down the steps going to the door to the cellar but that is where we found her. She gained some weight while she was with us (I guess I was a proficient worm gatherer :lol: ) Hannah now has a picture of Paula as background on her computer. I don't know if we will see her again directly but perhaps evidence that she is under the lawn somewhere. Moles are rarely seen, and to catch one and have it survive in capitivity is very rare, so I guess I must be a powerful witch to have such good luck with the unlucky pets. :mrgreen: Pictures of moles are hard to find so Paula will likely be famous in some wikipedia or nature journals. She's already a star on Youtube! Babies? I'm not 100% sure but Paula may well be a Paul :lol:

Ok Ann....I did...retested at +8=66 LOL

Am wondering if someone with experience can tell me what is going on. Is Captain Liver revolting at times and giving all those reds? What does all this mean? :roll:

Nice to see that Shadow comes down to some nice #'s. He will always keep you guessing it seems. :-D

Yes I am so glad that I finally heard from DH. Now I just have Sara for stress level. I should get a call from the vet tomorrow.

I have an apt for my foot on tuesday. The swelling has gone down a lot. So whatever it was must be healing. But I'll see what he has to say.

Hope Shadow survives all the boom and bangs... It is starting to get noisy here, and Mannie and the civvies are hunkering down for the duration. Nice numbers for Shadow today!
