Good news!
The meds are working, and she's eating better this morning!
It's such a relief even if it's because of Cypro.
Last night, she did ate a little more about 4 hours after Cypro, but only a little at a time.
I really didn't think she was constantly nauseated because she was purry except when I was feeding.
Although no energy, her demeanor was a little different from that of when she's nauseated.
Then I noticed something.
When she started eating, only after a few bites, the middle section of her body gave one quick wave, almost like a hiccup.
And whenever that happened, she stopped eating.
So... I thought, ACID REFLUX?? And gave her Pepcid before bed.
I think I guessed right because she came to bed for a cuddle last night.
She hadn't done that since she got sick on Sunday.
She did puke some yellow liquid early morning, but she still wanted to eat, and ate the 1st and 2nd breakfast pretty good.
And this morning, her body didn't give that wave at all while she ate.
I think I have learnt a good lesson.
In future, I'll use that middle section hiccup as a sign that she needs Pepcid.
Maybe this will help me avoid giving medicine blindly to see which one works.
I just feel bad it took so long for me to figure this out.
Now the bad news...
Her poops are getting softer and softer.
Partly because she's now not eating the Rayne diet, which has a lot of fiber.
And mostly because I've been giving her foods she's not used to, trying to get her to eat something.
She's been pooping small softish poo a couple of times a day, and her bumbum looks a little sore.
I'll try to stick with Wellness as much as I can.
I think she will probably need at least another dose of Pepcid and Cypro before her natural appetite returns.
Hopefully that can wait until tomorrow.
Sending vines to all in need.
