Lucy is doing very good!!!
She ate her first breakfast by her self again!!!
I thought the day would never come when I no longer have to finger-feed her, but it's looking hopeful!!!
Nice poops in the box too.

Unfortunately, today's AMPS is a little high, so she might be bouncing from all the greens she had last night.

I'm in Canada, so today is not a holiday for me, but to all of you who are in US, Happy 4th of July!

No holiday for me either:) But I guess we had Monday :lol: I know all about finger and spoon feeding, I sympathize and it's so nice to hear that your kitty ate breffis by herself! It's such a relief when they eat. I hope you see some greens later today, have a good one!

That's great to hear Lucy ate by herself and had some normal poo. Nice blue surf today.

Yes, I am really really happy and surprised about it as I have been finger-feeding her ever since 2011 summer.
I though my finger was going to forever smell like cat food, but maybe not forever!!!

I remember back in May when you came back on the board and were posting in Health. Remember this?
If I make her wait too long, she will lose interest in eating all together and becomes harder to get her eat her normal amount. On top of that, she needs to be finger-fed. She started refusing to eat by herself when she was first diagnosed with diabetes in 2011. Since then she insists on being finger-fed, so that's how I'm feeding her, and on good days it takes 20 minutes, and on bad days it takes over an hour. Even when her appetite is good and she really wants to eat, she would eat only a few mouthful by herself, and then insist that I hand-feed her. At first, I struggled to fix it by ignoring her begging, but now I accept it as a part of being her mom.
This make it impossible to go on vacation, but it's a deal I made with Lucy, I don't go away, you stay happy, not sick.

Deb! I was really hoping you would see Lucy's condo!
I so wanted to tell you she's now eating by herself more, still a team work, but HUGE improvement!!
Of course I remember that post, and you gave me such kind words.

This evening, Lucy ate her 1st AND 2nd dinner on her own!!!!!
I want to cry with happiness!!
