Well that's a number I wasn't expecting. I also slept through her +8 test last night, so I'm not sure if she dropped even lower after the +6 test I got. What I should have done is held for 15 minutes to see if she was rising, and if not, feed her some LC (per a conversation with Wendy on 6/28). What I did was feed her some LC because it's 6 am and I maybe panicked a bit. So we'll see in a few where she is.

So, after 20 minutes, she had risen to 57, so I went ahead and shot her full 1.25U. I'll be keeping a close eye on her numbers for the next few hours for sure.

Well, heck. Probably should have been testing more often. Does this count as a reduction? Or to close to the previous reduction?

Any drop into the 30s is a reduction. Id take the reduction Congrats!

Just tested - she's at 59. She got high carb at 35 and again at 44. Now we'll do with low carb to keep it going.

I also just realized my times are wrong in my thread title, so I'm off to fix that.

I think it's her punishment for me going to hang out with some friends last night (even though I came back twice over the 4 hour period to check her numbers). Oh, you're gonna stay out late? We'll just see about that *insert evil cat laughter*

That 35 is definitely a reduction!! Any number under 40 qualifies for a reduction since Kit is a year past her original diagnosis.

Congrats on the reduction. The larger depot influences 4-6 cycles after a reduction, so this was entirely the 1.25 unit dose talking. And Kit telling you what she though of it!

So, because the larger depot affects 4-6 cycles, if a cat goes below 40 in say, one of those first 4 cycles, would you still reduce? Or no because it's still affected by that depot?

Below 30 you still reduce, but you could see some below 50'sd early on.
