Trix hasn't been feeling very green these last couple days...at least not that I've managed go catch. But, Ms P is still working it...

I'm once again attempting to wean her off the cerenia, but still maintaining the higher dose of Pepcid (which, although my signature says is 5mg, I actually break the pill into 5mg, but then knock little pieces off, so it's really a tad below 5mg). I've be dosing cerenia every other day, and I know Elise has said that the oral version only lasts 24 hours, so since Trix seems to be feeling very good EVERY day, and not just on cerenia days, I'm going to give it a go...fingers and paws crossed. I plan on taking her for follow-up BW and BP check in several weeks.

My Dad's appointment at Penn isn't until Aug 14. I guess that was the first available, so between that and his local doctor being out until Aug 11, we're still kind of stuck in limbo here....what an emotional roller coaster. His PET scan is this Friday. On top of all that, I have jury duty next week  ....

Thinking of all my LL family...many hugs and prayers....

Amy

Hi Amy,

Trixie may just be "resting". She is doing so well and even if she doesn't hit green every day, she still brings her bgs down to numbers of a normal cat. She is certainly feeling good.

"When it rains, it pours." I think you should be able to postpone your jury duty because of your personal situation even if you have already taken the automatic postponement. Give them a call.

Lots of vines for your Dad,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O)

Yupp, Mr P is working. You could just be missing the greens sots. They re still good numbers, amazing all this is without insulin. You are doing great Trixie. Keep it up.

I am with Ella. I would think that you could get a postponement, if not an outright dismissal, of jury duty, given your circumstances right now. It certainly is worth a try. See what they say.

Many many vines for your dad. Waiting trough all of this has to be so difficult.

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Okay, Mr.P., show a little more love and a little green. We are glad that you are working but please a little harder. I too would try to get a postponement given the circumstances. Tell them with what is going on you would be useless on a jury as you wouldn't be able to concentrate.

I can't complain about Trix's numbers...she IS working it well all on her own!

I do intend to ultimately get out of jury duty, that's for sure. If I call now, though, there's a good chance I could get re-called in 3 months, but if I actually go down to the courthouse and then explain my circumstances, I'll be off the list for 3 years. Crazy. We have a system here where we call the night before to see if we have to report at all. My number is very high, so that is also playing into this...with a number as high as mine, and the fact that they don't call juries on Fridays, I'm really hoping I won't have to go to the courthouse at all, and that will also get me off the list for 3 years. At the moment, my Dad doesn't have any appointments next week, but if that changes I may have to re-think my jury duty strategy. I wish they would just pull from a pool of people who actually WANT to serve....even under the best of circumstances, jury duty falls at the bottom of the list of things I want to do....

Nice numbers Trixie. She is doing so well.

Ugh on the jury duty. That sounds like a pain. I've never been called thankfully. Still sending good thoughts, hugs, vines, all of it to you and your family Amy.

It's nice to see Trixie is still bringing her numbers down. Sorry about the jury duty and your DF not being able to get any earlier appointments. I hope you can get off the jury duty list for 3 years. Sending more prayers and hugs. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Trixie, blue is a lovely color on you, but green is even better! You should be sure to throw a little in for Mama to see, just for variety. Remember, it doesn't count if it doesn't get on the meter! ;-)

Jury duty always comes at the worst times. I got called to serve for the week after major back surgery. My surgeon wrote a note, and I thought it was just for a postponement, but it turns out he told them I could never serve as I cannot sit for more than 30 minutes at a time without getting up and moving around! So I'm off the hook for life! Too awesome. Of course, if I move to another county, I'd probably be back on the list, as my back surgeon is with a different provider now, and I don't know if I could get a note like that from someone else! I hope you get out of it,

It's so awful when you're already on pins and needles and then you have to wait a couple of weeks!! Like you need more stress!

Sending lots of calming vines for you and your family, and healing vines for your DF. Hugs to you, too, Amy. Hang in there! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Pretty Blues for Trixie, that +3 could easily have been 99 due to meter variance!

I hope you get out of jury duty, it does happen at the most inconvenient times! I was hoping you wouldn't have to wait so long for the other specialist! Sending continuing healing, strength and comfort vines to you and your family. :YMHUG: Big hugs to you Amy, just like with FD, this process with your dad is like a marathon instead of a sprint, that was hard for me to accept.
