This cat confuses me. 5 out of the 10 days on the fat 1u (1.13) we've hit green numbers, but at the same time we've had 3 AMPS in the 400s.

It's obviously a good dose since we're seeing all of that green and almost just as many blue PMPS, but why so high recently?

Those greens are nice, tho!

I vaguely remember someone mentioning here recently (maybe it was @Figaro's Liz ?) that the last numbers to come down once a cat is regulated are the AMPS readings. Hoping some other folks reply to this with some good insights for you.

Yeah, I like the greens and we're getting more of them. It seems like her body is now fighting harder against getting better.

But AMPS being the last numbers to come down makes sense. We're seeing our lowest in the middle of the day and getting blues at PMPS. Once we can stop bouncing at night, we should see better mornings. Just waiting for that to happen

it's possible that Luna could be diving in the PM cycle maybe you could set an alarm to get some much later tests, other than that yeah I find it a mystery... For me... Mowgli has been diving hard and fast after PM dose so I'm never surprised with my morning pinks ;)

Yeah but he's not climbing first. It looks like he just drops. Luna is 100+ higher than her PMPS at +3.

Check out the awesome graph I made. We know PMPS, +3 and AMPS; +6 is a guess at a decent drop that could trigger a bounce. She would have to do something like that and it's nothing I've seen her do before. It gets even more unlikely if we're saying she's dipping down to the greens.

I'm going to get a +6 or 7 this weekend when her +3 is higher because everyone keeps suggesting it. I think she's just climbing all night and reacting to day time greens. I'm just wondering why so high of a bounce recently

Yes exactly... I understand Mowglis mornings but Luna is doing her own thing :P

+8 68. Luna. Whatcha doing?

Fed normal 5:00 LC meal. should slow things down...but we're already off the rails, so brakes really won't do much now. Huge drop today.

She's taking you for a ride Dan!

I'm wondering if she would do better with some carbs!! I know there are some others who have posted about their cats doing better with some. Maybe that would help regulate Luna?

I'm still oh so curious as to what Luna is up to at night....by now you are probably thinking "would this woman shut up about the evening!":p;)

I mentioned it before but it got mixed reviews. I remember someone saying her numbers weren't good enough to introduce more carbs. Right now we're using RAWZ chicken & chicken liver or turkey and turkey liver pate. I think it's around 1 or 2%.

Luna is allergic to fish or fish oil and only seems to like pate, so we're limited. I'm open to suggestions if anyone knows a good pate with no fish in the 5-7% range.

We thought Weruva Meal of Fortune was but I'm not sure which chart to look at: https://weruva.com/nutrition-landing/pates-ni/

and I promise I will get an early morning reading this weekend.

Have you looked at the food chart they provide on the main forum? Its very extensive so maybe you will see something on it in addition to any recommendations people make:

It's like a "to be continued"....:p....keeping me in suspense over here with the evening BG!
Spent hours looking at it. Problem is it doesn't list ingredients. Something that says turkey or chicken usually had fish in it. The RAWZ we're feeding her now I found just by searching "pate" in old posts.

UGH:banghead:!! I have a really great holistic pet food store in my community & will try to catch the owner. He's like a walking feline/canine food directory :cat::)

Of note: Weruva just changed up some of their formulas (I obsessively hunted down every can of one food Perry likes -- because he will NOT eat the new formulation -- in our town to buy us time to find a substitute). So I'm no longer sure of the accuracy of Dr. Lisa's chart with some of Weruva's older flavors, and it doesn't have some of their newer options.

@Perry & Jenn -Call Chewy. A few years back that happened to me & I called them & they literally searched their warehouses for me. They've gotten much bigger now that they've been acquired by PetSmart so I'm not sure if they will provide that same level of customer service but they may! They have been helpful over the years! I really don't like when companies change the formulas & don't make customers aware :(

Oh my gosh, that's a great tip. Thank you!

Chewy recently provided me with excellent customer service, too! Our civvie was on Dr. Elsey's (wet), and a case arrived from Chewy and it looked completely different and she refused to eat it. We bought some locally and the same thing happened -- light color, she wouldn't touch it. Chewy refunded me immediately. No kidding, they responded to my email within minutes. And I didn't have to ship it back, which would've been such a hassle.

i just wonder if the effect of the 2nd injection isn't happening until later in the evening cycle, so you see the rise at +3 due to that & the food. Thats why I'm SO curious as to what happens later in that evening cycle. Does she take her drop after that rise & its significant enough to cause the higher # you see in the morning?

I test before I feed at +3, but I guess anything is possible. It would be interesting if she has two completely different cycles for AM/PM
