Georgia and Simon (GA)

Member Since 2010
Simon was his usual self this morning with the higher AMPS but when I got back from church just now, he really surprised me with the 53. He hasn't been that low in a very long time. I have to go in to work for a few hours but am going to wait a little bit to see how Simon does after he eats. My DH will be home and will do spot checks on the hour. If he goes any lower, I will come back from work. His little spot on his ear is bleeding again so i know it is bothering him. I'll call the vet in the morning to tell him that I want to start Simon on the cyclosporine.

Prayers to Claudia and Rocket and all the other beans and kitties struggling right now.

Hi Georgia and wow on the 53! Nice DH is home and can do spot checks. Oh poor Simon's ear, so sorry to hear it. Good luck with everything tomorrow with the Vet and med for it. Have a nice day but sorry about tbp!

DH was great doing the spot checks and Simon didn't stay down for long. DH took Simon outside for a little bit while I was at tbp (I took Friday off for a little rest and had to go in today to get ready for tomorrow -- what is wrong with that!) Funny story: While Simon was outside, he would start to try and eat some grass and then DH would say "no" and Simon would lie down. He kept doing that a few times until Simon walked a little further so DH could only see his face. Simon then pretended to be resting his head on some grass but instead was slowly and discreetly eating grass out of the side of his mouth facing away from DH. He was trying to pretend that he wasn't eating the grass! Cats are pretty darn smart.

 ANOTHER trait shared by the Simons! This is almost exactly how Simon approaches being
told not to eat grass. One of his variations is just get far enough away so when a bean says "No" they can safely be ignored,
because he KNOWS they don't feel like getting up and physically stopping him , and if they do, he lies down and
patiently waits for them to leave so he can resume his munching.

Great +6 and cycle!! Hope his ear gets better
