Getting a late start posting today... I'm still not feeling well and have spent much of last night and today in the bathroom. :sad: Finally went to Walmart for some tummy meds, powerade and some bland food. Willie has been a sweetie, giving me lots of cuddles and taking good care of me. Many thanks to the KTSS for the visit last night! While I was quite sleepy, I'm pretty sure I heard a match of kitty croquet going on in the backyard!!

I am hopeful we are finally getting back to normal. The 140 at +7.5 could have been as low as a 90 on the Relion, so the higher numbers are tougher to handle. Considering putting these 3 boxes of strips up on ebay after all.

Special prayers for Claudia/Rocket and Jan/Sara as both kitties are struggling with illnesses. Hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start!

Christie: I think Willie is looking fine and since you are not feeling well, these numbers give you a breather. I am glad the KTSS helped. Tobey worked his paws to the bone (he said) giving you a healing massage ;-)

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, Christie. I think the higher numbers are really throwing you off, as I remember when I switched to the Relion, I couldn't get used to lower numbers as I had so much data with the AT. I'd go back to the Relion, if it's at all possible, as you will always be thinking what the Relion would read. Even with the Advocate, Willie is looking good. Feel better soon.

Awwww poor Christie.....get better soon!!! And i'm glad Willie is taking such good care of you and being a sweet boy.

What is the advocate meter? Is that like the Atrack meter?

Nice to see Willie coming back down. We do get used to certain numbers. I remember when I was using the Infinity meter, always a lot higher and it drove me nuts.

Sorry to hear that you were feeling bad last night, I hope it passes quickly.

Thanks for all the well wishes... meds are doing their job and i'm starting to feel a little better. i can't tell if Willie is keeping me company b/c he is being sweet, or if he's just hoping maybe I'll feed him early! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Tracy-- the Advocate is a human meter, but it just happens to give consistently high readings within the 20% margin of error, while the Relion gives consistently lower numbers within the MOE. I figured this out by using both meters for a week... huge variance, but always within the 20%.

After all that, I got caught up in Hoarders and almost missed shot time! Hoping I feel well enough tomorrow to tackle what is left in the garage. Lord knows I'm motivated. thankfully, Willie set me straight!

Didn't realize I was out of syringes... thankfully, still have a box of ones with 1u markings from when we were first diagnosed. Made it to Walmart just as the pharmacy was closing and got a new box. Good thing... with shot time at 6:30am, lord knows I'd be lucky to remember which syringes i was using!!
 
hi guys... sorry to have missed you today... looks like willie had a decent day - so good of him to take care of his bean when she is under the weather. I hope you feel better soon!
