13 1/2 months OTJ, thanks to LL and all the help the bouncing lady received. Tuffy is fine now. She had an episode of upper GI bleeding but the cause has not been determined. Given the rough start she had when I found her I am amazed she has not had more problems. She is still being Tuffy. One morning a 168 and 2 hours later 49. Yesterday, 131 and 2 hours later 54. PMBGs have been in the 70s. Wish I know what she was doing. She is doing well and performing in the normal Tuffy manner. What a cat or should I say, That Darn Cat.

House was struck by lightening on 7/12. Luckily the meter has a surge protector but it fried the lines for the cable, phone and DSL. Nice the surge protector I have worked. Really miss the conveniences though. Without cable, internet and phone for 15 days. I was reading quite a bit. Tuffy did not approve. She would smack the book and if that failed, she would rub on the corners. Tough to read a moving book. A few days ago I was sitting reading and she started her antics, smacking, meowing, etc. Finally I got up and asked what she wanted and she jumped in my chair and laid down. Guess she got what she wanted. It's nice to see the return of her antics. When she was not feeling well she slept a lot and wanted me close by. Hope all is resolved.

Sending healing vines to all the kitties that need them. Off to visit a few more condos.

Gosh, sorry about the lightning strike. I hope all your electronics are ok.
You probably already know this, but I'll mention it just in case: After your (inside) surge protectors go through something like this they should be replaced.
They usually only protect against one big surge or a couple of smaller surges. (Sad voice of experience here... :oops: )
 
I'm glad to see Tuffy is doing better and that her BG is holding in Tuffy-style. I do hope there is nothing serious wrong.

We get so spoiled with all our electronics. What did we do before them??? I guess we had time to relax :lol: :lol:

I'm happy you got your services back. I don't know what I would do without air conditioning. Of course I don't know what I would do without you either, so I am glad you are all okay, too :-D

I love your Tuffy Stories - she and I would get along just fine. What a gal. I am glad that she got through the GI bleed OK. Scary, but it sounds like all is well.

Interesting comment from CD about replacing a surge protector. I would not have known... Good luck with all - I know I'd be "lost" without all the electronics we use these days. YAY! that the internet etc is back - just in time for Nationals in CA - good luck to Peter!! I will be sure to have the live feed up and running....

Happy almost annifursary!!! That's excellent news!!! Hoping that you can find out the cause of the GI issues, and get it cleared up quickly. Wishing for a full and speedy recovery for Tuffy. :) You guys did awesomely! (yes, that's a word for today, whether it's a wrong word or a right one LOL).

Wow on your house getting hit by lightening. I'm very glad that the house is OK, although the damage to your electricals is bad enough.
Tuffy is being Tuffy, I see, and that is great.
Keep cool down there. Thanks for visiting Rusty. Much appreciated. He's taken to playing with the Kitty Hootch mouse, but not yet with the "buddy". I got the one with the bell. Maybe that was a mistake. anyway, I like it!

Hope you're having a good, cool evening, and yes, CD is right: you should replace your surge guards and get the ones with the highest tolerance.
