Good Morning Lantus Land, People!

Does it seem to any of you that a dose increase is like going on a first date? I'm all a-twitter in anticipation - maybe this will finally be - the one!! My date starts, maybe on a positive note, but sooner or later turns out to be a dud like all the rest. :YMSIGH:

That's how I felt yesterday & today with Tigger - as soon as he dipped his toes in blue (199 = AM; 198 = PM) he raced back to pink, only to have an AMPS of 403 this morning. Where is our illusive Prince Charming Dose? Does it really exist? Will we ever find it??? :roll:

I guess we'll keep chasing that dream a little further down the road. To be continued..... ;-)

OK now I'm depressed because I'm not sure which I hold out less hope of actually happening, that "finding the one" or finding Papaya's right dose! But let's both be optimistic on both counts, shall we? :lol: :lol: Actually it's taken me about nine months to start really getting a handle on Papaya's numbers and I'm seeing a lot of improvement now . . . hmm, maybe that relates to your first date comparison, too, even when things don't go well isn't it true that you're learning something that will apply to future choices and slowly build toward a better outcome?!?

Make us believers, Tigger . . . work that juice!

That's so, true, Amy! Things sure worked out better for me the 2nd time around after learning what didn't work! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I was just laughing at myself yesterday - so excited after the dose increase, I could barely wait an hour to do Tigger's first test. Then - ugh - letdown! I do know it'll happen, in it's own time. Look at how well so many of our LL peeps are doing!

At least Tigger didn't make a huge statement & go BLACK on me!

It could be a bounce from the unfamiliar blues or it could be NDW, New Dose Wonkiness. Remember you were asking what it meant, now you know. Numbers can actually go up for a few cycles after an increase as the shed rebalances itself out. Fun huh? :roll:

That's our favorite new abbvr. here - Tigger's pretty much Wonky anyway - it's partly why he's so loved! :lol:

That is such a great analogy! Except in my case, I already know Mikey's too young to settle down and he'll soon get tired of his nice, comfy dose and want to move on to a new and exciting dose within a couple of weeks. :YMSIGH: Right now, he's just playing the field and sowing his wild oats. :roll: :lol:

Let's see some more greens, Tigger! :mrgreen:

HA! I love, it, KPassa! OK, I grant Michelangelo some oat sowing, but Tigger's 10 & should be more than ready to settle down with a nice predictable dose! Looks like Michelangelo's liking his current date today, tho' - I just peeked at his SS. Tigger, too - we're in for a ride: 402 AMPS to 112 @ 4+ = Whhhheeeeeeee! :-D

I'm not a fan of Michelangelo's 221 at nadir today and hope it's not a flat cycle; just a late nadir (or an early one I missed while at work). Looks like Tigger is doing much better on his cycle than Mikey! :thumbup

Well, it was a brief fling, but Tigger dipped his toes in the green at 96 & started zipping back up again - just hope he has more restraint this time & stops waaay south of 403!

I understand how you feel Suzanne! I was so impatient for Bob to get to the blues and greens, then it finally happened and I was all hysterical because he was too low, then he wouldn't eat his canned food and he's back on dry and who the heck knows what is next. I am missing the greens and blues for sure.

I have blown out my patience pants (eating too much take out), I need another pair. Would you like a pair too?

Yes! Good idea - Deb gave me a pink pair quite a while ago - when we were on Prozinc. You, however, have waaay more guts than I - Bob had some scary green numbers there for awhile - & quite a nice reduction. At least we're all going in the right direction.

I keep telling Tigger - just low blues, high greens - no need for the excess drama, your Mom's too old! :lol: :lol:

Tigger did a complete pendulum so far today 409 - 96 - 416. I'm a little scared to see what our PMPS will be in a few minutes. nailbite_smile

I sure do hope he levels out (aside from the high 200's & low 300's) sometime soon..... how about high 100's, Tigger?

Thanks for the support, Wendy & Mariko, glad you came over to visit.

I hope Tigger listens to you both - his liver does need a break - for every green moment we get a pink or red in return still.

Mariko, NDW is my favorite new abbreviation, & really seems to fit Tigger's style, unfortunately.

I just wish the pendulum wouldn't swing so wide! As you can tell, My patience pants are ill-fitting! :lol:
