A fine, so-far cool, day in the neighborhood. Work, help an acquaintance learn to test her newly diagnosed FD kitty, watch installers switch out TV discs and change signal carriers, get my hair cut....and think lots about the testing going on at MSU today.

Polly's a little confused. She's excited to possibly be labeled IAA. After all, in cat world that means "I Am Awesome." And if results show she's an acrocat, she's expecting lots of high beams, trapezes, and skimpy bejeweled costumes. Hey, she's a cat. Her bean is simply expecting answers.

Vines and wishes.

i'm thinking about you guys too.

Polly is still the same sweet kitty no matter what the diagnosis. she's blooming and coming out of her shell, loving the attention you give her. the results should be available to your vet on Friday. I didn't know the vet has to "retrieve" the results, although they may have changed the way they do business since 2011. we waited an extra week, i think, anxiously drumming our fingers, not knowing that the vet had to contact MSU for the results at the time.

bless you for helping someone else with their FD kitty.

Hi Marilyn,

I know how anxious you are! We did this back in March - although I skipped the acro test because I didn't want to know. Waiting is the worst!! :-x

One thing that someone told me is no matter the results, just remember that Polly doesn't know what any of these results mean. If she comes back with IAA, she's going to respond the same as before you knew what it was called. You know what I mean? The results may clarify why your dose keeps going up. But it will also bring a lot of questions like, how much higher of a dose? When will we stop? Etc. We went down that road with Cobb. No need to worry about any of that yet (as if you could help it), but you've got a great support system here for when you DO know. And I'll start checking in on Polly more often! I have a working theory on IAA and how to beat down some of the resistence. Completely unproven, but we were discussing it in one of Cobb's recent condos, if you want to check in on it. And Sandy (and Black Kitty) also started a discussion on IAA in the Think Tank forum. So we may be able to learn more from Polly if she comes back as IAA.

I digress...don't think about any of that just yet. No need. Give Polly some extra scritches from me! Cobb would love to have a buddy in the IAA club, although I'm pretty sure you'd rather Polly stay away from that nonsense!

I hope you get the test results back soon and it gives you some answers. That's nice of you to show someone else how to test their kitty.
