7/30 Lucy // Trying to decide.

Hi,
I missed you all.

Previous condo - 7/28

Lucy was stable until yesterday, but she has become very weak today.
She ate about 1/2 breakfast, but she's not purring except only for a few minutes early in the morning.
Her breathing is not labored as far as I can tell.
I am trying to decide the best thing to do for her.

Please send us vines.

Lucy could just be having a bad day and start eating and purring soon. My cat Callie has stomach cancer and she has her days where she doesn't eat very much and sleeps most of the time. She then perks back up and eats good and is a purry kitty the next day. It's not easy trying to decide when the time is right to let them go.

I sent a link to you in a pm. Sienne sent it to me last year, to help me decide the best thing for my boy.

I'm glad Barb sent you the link. I know you are struggling with quality of life issues and this is a gut wrenching decision. We're here for whatever you need.

I printed out the answers from your reiko practitioner, because that makes so much sense to me and I plan to keep it and hope that when the day comes for me I can fall back on those words. Whatever you decide, you know and love her best-and she knows this and loves you with all her heart! (((Hugs)))

Thank you very much all for your support.
I made a tentative appointment with the vet once, but then she ate a little bit and purred some, and I couldn't do it.
I cancelled the appointment.
I will take it one day at a time and I will listen to her carefully.

About all you can do is what you're doing...take one day at a time and listen to your sweet Lucy. When it's time, you'll know it. You'll feel it in your heart and soul and you'll just know.

I know this is so difficult for you. I agree that you need to take it one day at a time and remember that there can be bad days, so try not to panic when there is a setback. Give it a little time to see if she improves.
