7/30 FLUFFY AMPS-339|PMPS- 200|+10-87|

Can you get any tests overnight? Why no snacks? You shot 202 last night, 200 is practically the same.

Sorry. I buried my mother today and I had to drive over an hour to get to the funeral plus I am taking care of my daughter's farm and her animals so my plate has been pretty full. SS is updated.
Scarlette, I had been thinking about you and was wondering how you were and your mother since you said she couldn’t last much longer. I am so sorry for your loss. :bighug::bighug::bighug: Losing a parent is hard. You are also taking care of farm animals and Fluffy and I assume your other cats too. Take care of yourself too.

It doesn't seem normal to give my cat snacks in the middle of the night. I do guve him mid-cycle snack during the day time. Does that make sense?

His PMPS is at 8:45 pm. He also eats when he gets that shot. I been getting to bed between 11 and 11:30 pm. I take his BG at that time. He gets a small snack at 11ish before I turn out the light for the night. But he does not get an overnight mid-cycle snack.

Do you think I should get up from sleep at 3 am to feed him another snack?

I woke up to pee at just now his BG is 98. Since this is the very first time he is in the GREEN. I fed him a snack cuz I didn't know if his number would drop below 80 before he's feed at 8:45 am EST. Prevention is better than cure when it comes to avoiding a hypoglycemic episode. I need my sleep. I cannot make a habit of feeding him at 3 am. It cannot become the norm. I am not retired. I work and just buried my mom. I'm caring for the animals on my daughters farm while she's vacationing. Uninterrupted sleep is what I desperately need if I can get it.

Many cats’ bg is lower at night and nadir is often +6 or later. That’s why I would give Max his insulin at 6:00 so I could get a mid cycle test during the night cycle. Many people get an auto feeder and set it to go off a couple times at night so that they don’t have to wake up for mid cycle snacks.
