Morning all,

I talked with Zeus' vet last night, I had called yesterday about the lumps that I found at Zeus' waist. He asked a ton of questions, where were they/how did it feel/where did i give insulin or fluids, etc. I asked if I could have been feeling fecal matter, he said he didn't think so. He told me not to worry about it since they went away... Too late I said, and he laughed. In the end he said that it could have been fecal matter but it was probably just part of Zeus' anatomy shifting a bit and since Zeus has been losing weight it was just easier to feel. I didn't feel any lumps last night, or this morning.

I increased Zeus' ondanestron and cypro last night.He ate pretty good, and kept it down. :-D he went poo before bed and again this morning. He actually came running to the kitchen for breffis, WOO HOO. Hasn't done that in a long time. He has eaten a can and a half of the FF morning medley...and he's purring while he is eating. I love this :-D

We have been having flash flooding from all of this darned rain. It washed out some roads, one road looked like a river with all the water and debris... its the road that Zeus' Vet Office is on. The police/fire dept/rescuers had to evacuate homes on that road too. Our shopping centers "malls" are flooded, we lost them in hurricane Irene and they couldn't reopen for months, some longer and some never did reopen. I sure hope everyone is OK.

I hope Zeus' vets office and all the animals kept there are okay.

I know... And he was looking for more, so I gave him a bit more. He only had a couple of licks this time, must be getting full. I hope he keeps it down.

That' a great report on Zeus. I hope he keeps wanting to eat.

Wow on the flooding. I hope everyone is okay. We've had some flooding in the surrounding areas and are under a flood watch until tomorrow. Yuck. I'm tired of all of the storms.

Whoohoo! What a wonderful way to start a Wednesday! So happy Zeus feels better today - and I know how it makes mommabean feel better too :-D

Great news on Zeus's appy and poo. Yay! I'm glad you talked to the vet and hope you feel better. I know you were worried sick. Stay safe. Flooding is dangerous. Have a great day Kathie!

YAY! A happy appy! it is so nice to read that he's feeling better. and eating better. what good news. A whole can and a half! dancing_cat

I will hope that all is well with every one affected by flooding. Never a good thing. Paws crossed for all involved.

I am so happy to know that Zeus's appetite improved so much!
Him running to his breakfast, purring while he ate, asking for more, it's all wonderful!!!

The vets office was spared, phew... Only downed phone lines, and a transformer burst across the street (may be a silly question, but what is a transformer?). The destruction is horrible only a couple hundred feet from the vets office.

Thanks Carla, I hope Zeus continues to want to eat too. I really hope we can get him over this rough spot and get him to put on a couple of pounds.

Thank you Jane, you are soo right. I was absolutely thrilled to be able to open that second can because Zeus had finished the first one. And then when he ate the 1/2 can and still wanted more... Priceless. It appears that he was able to keep it down too, even better :-D

Yes, Melissa... I did feel better after talking with the vet last night. Thank you :smile: We seem to keep getting bad news, so for the vet to tell me not to worry was fabulous.... Almost as good as the normal poo and good appy that Zeus had :-D

Thanks Michelle... We were doing the happy kitty dance here too. Thanks for the good thoughts for the people that were flooded out. Mother Nature can be so beautiful, but wow she can be mean too. It's funny to think that water can do so much damage.

Thank you Josie. It was so good to write a good news condo, I was so happy to see him run to the kitchen, and want to eat. Things were looking up in Zeusland.

Shhh, I don't want to jinx it, but Zeus is gobbling the Friskies turkey and egg something, it says rise and shine on the can. I'm sure it's higher carb than he should have but I doubt it's any higher than the FF medleys that I've been giving him and his numbers haven't been too horrible. Not any worse then when I fed only the FF LC classics.

ETA, he ate all but a spoonful of the friskies can. And acted like he wanted more. So I gave him a spoonful of a FF medley. He only took one lick. I'm so impressed with that almost a full can of friskies though. Woo hoo!!!
 
Whooo Hooo is right!! It's so good to hear him running for breffis, eating lots, and then eating a whole can for dinner..
