Our hearts go out to Wendy this evening, sweet Tiggy is flying free.

Hello Everyone,

Another very busy day (baking cookies; making munchies; mowing the lawns; mending jeans; doing laundry; it never ends!).
Rusty, after his TV adventure at bedtime last night, had a good day. Every time he passed the TV he looked to see if it was on! He had a good time in the garden, sitting in the sun while Edward and I mowed the grass. He's asleep in his bed now, waiting, no doubt, for "The Living Desert". We recorded it last night and will play the whole film for him this evening. (We've got to try to secure the TV in case he tries to "get into it" again!). Tillie @Anne & Zener (GA) , I think he might like to visit you! Or his Auntie Marje @Marje and Gracie !

Hope all is well in L&LL. Sorry to be so absent lately. I don't know where the time goes!

bbl,

I had to go back and see what was up with Rusty and the TV...how cute that he found a show that he loves!! Nice day today for him - hectic day for you! I have a great evening, Ella!

LOL on Rusty and the tv show. One time I was watching a show about wolves. I glanced at my bed and the kitties were sitting there staring at the tv. They were transfixed. Have a great weekend.

Oh gosh. I remember The Living Desert. Rusty, I understand! Just be a spectator, though.

Hope you all have a great 4th weekend and then some.

hope Rusty continues liking it.... my droolers had me convinced when some commercial for a wobble bobble ball toy....
the weird little noises it made on the tv had them come running.... acting all interested....
when it got here.... they ran away frightened of it.....:rolleyes:

Rusty needs some lagoon time.....

That is so cute with Rusty and the Living Dessert! :joyful::joyful::joyful: When I was in grade school they showed The Living Desert, you had to bring a can of canned food for some charity but the school provided free popcorn!

That is hilarious that Rusty finally found TV! I look forward to hearing if he enjoys it as much second time around. Good idea to secure the TV too - my friend had a drooler that liked to watch animal shows but got a little too involved one day and smashed it

We had the second showing and it was as successful as the first (the first was incomplete, since it was bedtime). Rusty particularly liked the ground squirrels and raised his paws and batted the TV screen. But he didn't like the battle scenes between the insects at all, and walked away. I took a picture and will post it tomorrow, if there is time (we have to leave for our 4th of July picnic at our friends' camp fairly early, since it is boat access only, so we'll have to paddle to get there).

Wishing everyone a great holiday weekend!

Ella & Rusty
