Good morning LL,
Thank you Marje for telling me about the bupe, I don't know how much they gave her, but I will ask when we go back.
Question: They gave us Cypro 4mg.-1/2 tab. once or twice a day prn. Is that too much? I know Anne and Liz only give 1/16 of a tab prn?
I don't know if they gave her a whole tab or half tab yesterday. They told us she might be sleepy, but she was more like wired, between that and the Bupe. She kept talking and barking at me weird and wandering around. She didn't know what to do with herself.
I had to keep getting her up and down from areas as I thought she might fall. She reminded me of the little boy who just came from the dentist after anesthesia asking "Is this real life?"LOL. It's funny now, but kinda scary last night. Peepee, lay down and enjoy the high! She is feeling much better now.
She hadn't been eating much for the last 5 days and I thought she could use Cypro and some fluids cause she lost around 9oz. in the last 5 days. When I called I mentioned not eating, diabetic and acting off, so they said bring her right in. When we arrived, they were real busy, but took us right in. You know they were thinking DKA or hypo, but were knew it was neither, That's ok, we got the Cypro.
She is doing a lot better today. She gave her the Bupe because she thought she had a reaction to the vaccination and still had a sore spot where she got her shot. I think I will have to watch for a lump there in the future.
